Any guide to what Calatrava references used what dials?
Is there anything out there that I could use to determine what dials were available on different Calatrava references. Really like the 5196 time only with small seconds and breguet numerals. I know a few other references also used that dial style but it seems that many of those references also used other dials as well.Any resources like this online for Calatrava references? I'm guessing some of the books you can buy may have this sort of info. This is the dial style I am referring to by the way, wondering what previous references of Calatrava used it (I know the 96 did but have seen others pop up with this dial as well)
My new Patek Philippe Calatrava 5119J
I had been on the hunt for a few months now for my first dress watch in a precious metal, and after considering options like the A. Lange and Sohne Saxonia and Vacheron Constantin Patrimony, I finally decided on the iconic Patek Philippe Calatrava 5119J in yellow gold with the Clous de Paris or hobnail bezel. I also briefly considered the Calatrava 5120 with the micro-rotor calibre 240, but I preferred the slightly larger size of the 5119, the shape of the hands and the petite seconds subdial, which add a bit of visual interest to the otherwise austere dial.I visited many Patek Philippe authorized dealers, both within the United States and in Europe, and while many had the 5119 in rose gold, none had the yellow gold version in stock, and most were quoting a waiting period of about 6 months to a year. The rose gold version blended in with my complexion, so I persisted in my search for one in yellow gold. While visiting Utah, a dealer there said they would be able to get one from Patek i
Advice purchasing a 2006 Rolex GMT Master II 16710
Hello all I was looking into purchasing a GMT Master II 16710, I managed to find a D serial with full box and papers, from a dealer I trust, the overall condition looks great with some light dings. I have bought from this dealer before and they have proven to be very trustworthy. The dealer has informed me that the watch has been lightly polished in the past but nothing too major, I'd just like your advice on weather this watch has been over polished or is in good condition for its 7950 ($8690) price tag.Thank you all again in advance for your help!Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
