Introducing the 6B MK2, A New Pilots Watch From The Maker Of GasGasBones Straps
As most readers know, there's a lot of BS in the watch business-dubious claims, hyperbolic claims of pedigree and purpose, and breathless marketing hype. But Carl Evans is the real deal. He's the man behind the cult favorite GasGasBones straps and the fledgling watch brand 6B. There's a lot of chatter, interest, and controversy about British watches these days but 6B, and the latest release, the MK2, side step all of that with an earnestness and honesty that's refreshing.First of all, some background on Evans. Last week was the usual sweat fest, when the class finished I gathered my things and headed downstairs to change.A few hours later as I am getting ready for bed, I went to take my watch off and my head swirled...I called the studio, long closed for the night but left a message. The next morning the same thing, left another message. A friend is close friends with the owner/yoga teacher and she texted him.It was a beautiful day for skiing, nothing I could do at this point but make the best of it. Around noon my cell rang, they had my watch all along. Some other yogi came upon it and turned it in the night before. I was given the
