Hamilton Ventura XXL: Blue Hawaii for the 21st Century
2010 would have been Elvis’s 75th birthday, and to mark the occasion, Hamilton is producing two new versions of the Ventura, made famous by the King in his 1961 movie “Blue Hawaii”. One commemorative model is a quartz-powered replica of the original. My focus will be on the second piece: the cool XXL Edition. The styling has been updated with larger dimensions, a gunmetal PVD case, and a perforated dial that lets the automatic ETA 2824-2 movement see a bit of sunlight. The XXL’s smooth, angular case flows into the black rubber strap. The curved crystal is sapphire, and the watch is water resistant to 50 meters. A touch of red stretches between 12 and 3 and carries over to the tip of the seconds hand. Black and white dials are available. The Ventura XXL will only be produced for one year. If you’re looking for something a little different, it’s priced at $1145, and it will be in stores in October. Never Seen This One Before - 39mm AP ROO
Has anyone ever seen this one? It's a legit company, because they supply Selfridges with watches.
AP diver discount?
what kind of discount from an AD can be expected for the AP diver??Rolex is obviously tight on their SS model discounts and I have heard AP is pretty good at discounting...that said...why the big MSRP by AP if a big discount is the norm???why is a BIG 3 'haute horology' company offering big discounts?? does Patek? Vacheron??perhaps I am wrong....interested to hear what % off to be expected when purchasing the AD diver as it seems to be a pretty popular model that sells well...thanks in advance
2nd Panerai
Last year I purchased my 1st Panerai, pan 88. I wish to add a 2nd to my collection and would like some opinions. I would like to get something very different from the 88, Although the Radiomir are incredible--I was thinking a carbotech or a submariner. I think a 47m is large for my 7in wrist. Your thoughts? thanks in advance
Dial change on my DJ.
My 1601 currently has a black stick dial but I'd like to change it over to a white stick dial. What is the best way to go about doing this or is it even possible? Would I need to send it to RSC or are there others the forum could recommend ?
