Vacheron Constantin Mtiers dArt Savoirs Enlumins Watches With 'Illuminated' Dials
The Vacheron Constantin Mtiers d'Art Savoirs Enlumins Watches are raising the in-house bar for one of horology's most respected players. In the past, the Vacheron Constantin?Mtiers d'Art watches have impressed with their stunning visuals and their stubborn insistence on maintaining the craft skills of yore. Grand Feu enamel, precious gems, hand-engraving, and guilloche patterns?have illuminated dials that often stick in your mind's eye. When it comes to?illumination, however, it is the latest range from Vacheron Constantin that takes things to a new level. The?Vacheron Constantin Mtiers d'Art Savoirs Enlumins watches with "illuminated" dials take their design cues from the Aberdeen Beastiary C a 12th century text that contains a wide range of human knowledge and beliefs from the period.Effectively a device to represent an entire paragraph, an illumination in this sense is an image placed at the beginning of a body of text. These are most often seen in historical documents and were
Is this overkill?
Alright, I'm putting it to a vote. I am obsessed with the Schumacher model. As people know, I picked up the RG version already, but I have been agonizing over whether to get the Titanium version as well. I agonized over which one to pick at the store when I was there. It took me more than two hours to decide!!! Do people think picking up this model in more than one metal is ridiculous? I DEFINITELY think the RG is the more aesthetically pleasing of the two overall. The titanium is a more subtle beauty, but therein lies its charm. the titanium's aesthetic also evokes personal memories of collecting matchbox cars in the 70s and 80s. Likewise, the RG version would not be worn as much as the titanium version, because it is such a valuable piece.HELP!!!!

Omega X-33 GEN 2. (is it a good time to sell)
Hi all, Looking for some advice I bought an Omega X-33 Gen 2 some years back for about 700USD.. Box, Maunal, watch (non metal strap)... watch is like 8 out of 10... Is the price of this watch likely to go up as a collectors item or should I just sell it now? Im in no big rush but dont use it all any more. Thanks!
Receipt from Panerai for Service?
I took my Panerai to an AD for service. The AD told me they sent it in to Panerai and it did return in a Panerai service case. However, I received no paperwork from Panerai - only the AD's receipt. It's been awhile since I sent a Rolex in for service, but seem to recall that they send pretty detailed Rolex paperwork back with it. I asked the AD about this and they said they didn't have any paperwork from Panerai to give me. Is this true? The cynic in me wonders if it could have been serviced in-house by the AD or one of the AD's independent contractors. This would certainly increase the spread they made on the service. I doubt it happened this way, since I received the service case and the watch was gone for a LONG time. However, you never know.Thanks.
