The Unique Blancpain Villeret Traditional Chinese Calendar Wristwatch For The Only Watch Auction
Blancpain has just released a unique piece that they will be contributing to the Only Watch auction coming up in November. This year they will be donating a special and unique version of the Villeret Traditional Chinese Calendar wristwatch. 1 OF 2 The watch was exclusively designed for the Only Watch auction. The Chinese Calendar complication, developed in-house, is a tribute to the age-old culture. The dial features the hours, minutes, and the Gregorian calendar alongside the Chinese calendar's major indicators. This includes the traditional double-hour indication, day, month (with leap months), signs of the zodiac, and the five elements and the 10 celestial stems. The combination of the celestial stems with the 12 animals of the zodiac that represent the terrestrial branches follows the 60-year cycle that is pivotal to the Chinese culture. The dial also features a moon-phase, connecting the lunar cycle and traditional Chinese months. 2 OF 2 The 45 mm c
Milan shoping
I'm im Milan for the next 30 days and decided to go in some watch shops. Seen so many great pieces! They have all the great AP's! Here are some pics of the ones i've seen. Decided on the 26331 blue dial and had my Ti 26400 strap changed for the black one. Completely diferent watch!Enviado de meu SM-G930F usando Tapatalk
Vintage AP- water damage resto project started
This vintage AP is was left is a safe when the house flooded many years ago and was never serviced. The dial and movement were completed rusted out. I am getting closer to getting it back together. -The band and case have been cleaned/buffed, no more patina, but the gold is now shiny.-The dial was completely rusted/molded, it was restored- it now looks new.-The glass needs some service before it can back in...-THe movement is the worst, I actually found another broken AP movement, and my jeweler will be swapping out parts from both to make one good one.A few more weeks and this watch will be back in order...
Breitling Hand Discoloration??
I just picked up a Titanium Seawolf from ~2007 from the original owner, and it appears that the minute has a very slight yellow-hue to it compared to the white of the hour and second hands. Is this common/early patina? I've been searching for pics of other Ti Seawolfs and in some pics, some hands look discolored but it is hard to tell with lighting, etc. It's starting to bother me at this point - what are my options for obtaining a replacement? I hope I don't have to send it into BUSA for a service :-/Thanks for your input. Otherwise, awesome watch. The Ti makes this my most comfortable watch despite it being by far my largest!!
PAM 533 v 233
Brethren,Of these two beauties, which would you choose and why? Cost is not an issue here because the difference is 'only' S$1,500 (GBP 875, USD 1,065)*.Images are screen shots from the Panerai website.I'd love to hear your thoughts. Go!*It's a significant amount of money, I know. I for one do not have money to set fire to. I have used the word 'only' and deliberately emphasised it in inverted commas because, in my humble view, the amount is academic when dropping that much on a watch
