Oris Carlos Coste Limited Edition C Cenote Series
In 2010, Carlos Coste established a new Guinness world record for freediving by completing a 150 meter underwater swim using no breathing apparatus. The Venezuelan was armed with only a torch and a monofin when he made the dive, and now Oris honors his achievement by creating a special Carlos Coste Limited Edition Cenote Series diver’s watch. Find pricing and wallpaper inside.Coste’s record-setting swim took place in the Dos Ojos, a colossal cenote or cave network that twists for 31 miles under Yucatan, Mexico.A standout member of the Oris diver's collection, the 46mm Cenote Series offers original features to highlight Coste's feat. The minute counter glows in the dark for ease of reading. A triangle at the seven minute position highlights Carlos's record of 7:30 for holding his breath during a static dive. The case is titanium with a helium release valve. Power is provided by the ETA 7750 movement. The bezel is scratch-proof ceramic, and the numerals and triangle at the zer
Is Fossil Ready For An $895 Swiss Automatic Watch?
A few years ago, I used to joke that you'd never see an article about Fossil on watches-dealer. So, this is actually the very first one. Yeah, I know that sounds snobby, but what exactly was I going to write? "Here is an $80 watch that is a cheap recreation of something else you really ought to buy. But with Fossil, you have the convenience of Macy's." As a business, Fossil is a fantastic money-making machine. Proudly American, the Texas-based company is actually in the business of retail product placement before they are in the market of making watches. That is at least from the perspective of what they are good at business-wise. Though, over the years, their ability to make decent watches improved (a bit). Given what I know and what I am used to, it is just hard for me to take Fossil timepieces seriously as something I'd wear - just being honest. Though for many non-watch snobs who wear these - bless 'em. At least they got watches on.They may not have earned a spot on my wrist yet, b
AP camouflage, hands on.
Had to drop off my 15400 this morning at the AP NYC boutique as it suddenly stopped ticking!!! The watch must have been mad at me cause I haven't worn it for a month. Too many incomings this month.🤪Anyways they had a sample of the 44mm camouflage which I tried and had to post the pics here for yah to check it out. In person I like it! The new rubber feels soft and sturdy, case made of steel and green bezel is hot. Price at 31k MSRP. Have been inform that they are sold out! lmao.... AP fans, would you buy???? FYR, my wrist is 7.25 to 7.5, I forgotten. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Rubber B strap install on PAM 233
Last night I took some time and installed a new Rubber B strap (black rubber with sahara tan inset stripe) on my (stainless) Panerai 233. Overall a straight forward process, and easy enough. I don't think I scratched anything. :)Noticed that the Panerai supplied leather and rubber straps have a steel pin tube, and that the clasp screw is in the band really good. Had to pull on that one to get it out and over to the new band. What I did not know, and could not find reference on, was IF the steel pin tubes (2; 1 for each side of the strap) were required to be put in the Rubber B strap or I could just leave them out (the Rubber B seems to not take the pin tubes). Can anyone confirm or provide guidance on this? Thanks. Lovin' my first Panerai! :)
Only one watch auction
No rolex in the lineup, was hoping to see what Rolex can and want to produce as an only watch for auction. There's a Tudor one watch though
