Remembering My Dad's Watch And The Birth Of Responsibility
This article is unlike most that you'll read on watches-dealer because it is inherently personal. Those who know me are aware of the fact that I am the most comfortable behind the camera, and while I regularly make a point to inject a healthy amount of opinion into our coverage of timepieces, I don't normally talk about myself. Today will be a bit different, because I am talking about the very special role that the "dad watch" can play in our lives. A dad watch is quite simply the (or a) timepiece your father wore while you were growing up. Maybe you remember it, maybe you even now own it. In any event, I think we too often forget how much we may have been influenced by our dad's wrist watch in our own tastes and lives. While this article is likely going to publish on Father's Day, it is being written a few months earlier in March of 2014. Introducing The Tissot T-Lord Automatic Small Seconds For 2011: This Watch Is A Winner, And Only $97
Say hello the best looking Tissot since the Visodate 1957. This Basel 2011 release has gone completely unnoticed by, well, pretty much everybody and it wasn't until we saw the collection yesterday in New York that it caught our eye.? The Tissot T-Lord small second and date is fantastic looking, uses a really great movement, and the price is more than reasonable.? This watch is a sure-fired winner in our book. The T-Lord line from Tissot has been around for a while as part of the T-Classic collection, but something about the dial design - probably the use of two roman numeral markers at 12 and 6- prevented it from becoming a fan fan favorite.? But, the dial has been redesigned for 2011 and it is absolutely killer.?Sized at 40mm in diameter and only 9.9mm thick, the new T-Lord automatic with small seconds makes for a perfect formal watch to wear with a jacket to the office.? Inside the Tissot is a high-grade ETA 2895-2 movement and while there is a bevy of T-Lord watches to choose from, t

1940's 18k Automatic help, please.
Local person is selling this, 1944 Omega Automatic 18k. Anything I should be concerned with? Specifically, does the dial look authentic and period correct? Thanks so much for any help or advice provided!
Scam alert
Someone is using my photos and even my verbiage to sell an Explorer I sold here not too long ago. My buyer is very happy with his watch and is not selling it. chronocentric/forums/chro...=read;id=85348
