2018 seems to be bright for AP!
The amount of watches they are dropping next year is mind boggling and the Royal Oak demand is stronger than ever. The fact that they are releasing so many models doesn't bother me since total production is still 40k anyways.Retro beast is a hitCamo 44 definitely has a market for itCeramic 42's are finally available The polarizing new anniversary Offshore has its sights dead on RMThat's not even mentioning the new 44mm RO's and and various other RO's (37mm frosted openworked )I've always been critical of the 250k AP's of the past, since many were ROO's with a tourb slapped on it throwing off the whole look.Not anymore. AP is letting it known that they want their old RM customers back, and customers of this level can afford to buy both. Only disappointment is RD2 availability. You can't show us something like that and say TBD.Let's just not talk about the new divers............

Omega Speedmaster GSOTM chipped lug
My Omega Speedmaster Grey side of the moon watch fell from a short distance onto a hard floor and the bottom crown/pusher side lug got chipped as you can see in the following pictures. I brought the watch to the Omega service center in NYC and they advised me that the only option is to replace the entire case at a cost of roughly $7000. I obviously didn't choose that option because that is pretty much the cost to replace the entire watch.They stated that the couldn't confirm whether the watch was structurally sound due to the proximity of where the chip occurred to where the spring bar inserts into the case. Mechanically they stated the watch was 0.5 seconds a day fast. With that accuracy I could only assume the fall if anything improved the accuracy since that is better than I could have hoped for on any timepiece.What I am left with is a mechanically sound, structurally uncertain watch with a noticeable chip to the naked eye. Bezel issue
Hi allRecently took a 1997 14060 sub in to RSC for service and they changed the bezel without telling me.Did not realise until I saw that the pearl lume was brighter.The watch has a tritium dial and now the pearl on the bezel looks out of place in the dark.Can I source an original bezel and pearl.???
