new AP, question about watch noise
Hey everyone! First AP purchased yesterday and I have a question/clarification for those who are familiar with the ROO. my FC makes a winding noise as the oscillating weight moves around. It sounds like a winding buzz. Best I can come to explain it. Its not super loud, cant hear it while wearing the watch. But in a quiet room, if i move my the watch around it can be clearly heard a good two feet from my ears. Just asking because all of my other automatics are silent. I searched the forum to see if this had been asked before and didnt find anything, but forgive me if I missed it. my question is, is this noise normal to the ROO. the watch is keeping perfect time. Thanks for any input!

Thinking about buying the wifey a Patek 24 for this Christmas. Interested to get others views on this watch...the only small reservations I have are that its a quartz (albeit my wife likes quartz more than automatics) and the fact that it looks very similar in design to a cartier tank for women (which my wife already has one)Opinions welcomed...

Only thing that I did not expect was they told me there was some corrosion on the hands.Its been 15 years since I used this watch for diving. After that time I had the unit serviced at Yampels in Haddonfield NJ. Elliot Yampel had been a customer of mine back in the day but this store has long since closed. The watch had stopped dead. Rebuild had taken like 6 weeks. Before the end of august I gave them the go ahead. Been calling every month and I keep hearing they need 2 more weeks. Actually 9-29-17 I called and was told it was due back next weekThen 10-120-17 I was told it would be 2 more weeks.That 2 weeks I was quoted was a month ago.So what should I really expect here as a reaso
