Is Fossil Ready For An $895 Swiss Automatic Watch?
A few years ago, I used to joke that you'd never see an article about Fossil on watches-dealer. So, this is actually the very first one. Yeah, I know that sounds snobby, but what exactly was I going to write? "Here is an $80 watch that is a cheap recreation of something else you really ought to buy. But with Fossil, you have the convenience of Macy's." As a business, Fossil is a fantastic money-making machine. Proudly American, the Texas-based company is actually in the business of retail product placement before they are in the market of making watches. That is at least from the perspective of what they are good at business-wise. Though, over the years, their ability to make decent watches improved (a bit). Given what I know and what I am used to, it is just hard for me to take Fossil timepieces seriously as something I'd wear - just being honest. Who wears their ROO at the pool?
Hello... another question for the forum. New AP owner here... the 44 ROO in rose gold. Who here wears their Royal Oak Offshore to the pool? When I'm at a nice resort pool like in Miami or Vegas I like wearing a nice watch. My new AP watch would look badass poolside. However last year I took my white Panerai Laminor Marina 1950 to a few resort pools. I noticed after these trips that the anti-reflective coating somehow got permanently etched by the pool chemicals or minerals. Looks like water stains if you look at a certain angle... not very noticeable but I know they're there. I will likely need to have to have the crystal replaced at some point. Anyone have experience with this and their AP and anti-reflective coating? I'm thinking I can just rinse the watch off with bottled water and wipe down after getting out of the water each time??

Should I flip my 15400 for a Jumbo?
I own a white dial 15400 RO and so far are perfectly happy with it. Unfortunately, in recent weeks, for some weird reasons, it has started to look thicker... Well, the main culprit is the 15202 Jumbo. A few of my friends just got this watch and wow... it's really thin in real life. Shaving that extra 2mm seems to make a world of difference. So, is it worth to pay 2X the price for the 15400 for the Jumbo or pay the price of another RO to upgrade to 15202? Anyone has done that before?Here's a photo of my 15400 :

My Dad's Breitling
I have my Dad's Breitling, Navitimer, of course it's not working but it is from the 1950's or early 1960's. On the case it's stamped Breitling, Stainless steel and the number #806. Of course it's a chronograph, the dial is black and it looks like the hands and hour markers at on time might of glowed. I would of asked about it years ago but I just happened upon it today when I was cleaning out a cabinet..........If anyone has any information I would appreciate your thoughts, comments and input!!!I did Google Breitling-Navitimer and the dial configuration matches the dials from 1954 to 1955 with the AOPA incorporated in the Wing on the dial with the Breitling name on the back of the case with the number #806. The Breitling name does not appear on the dial just the name Navitimer above the bottom sub-dial.......
