Decisions
Not being a jewellery fan I got my first ever watch at 37 datejust Rolex. I've since bought a preowned Seadweller and a new 41mm ROChrono. The former being a collector piece and the latter well just being to good to wear to work I am thinking of another watch and am in 2 minds about a Submariner or an GMT. I could of course demote the RO or the Seadweller and buy a millenary however I have been thrown a curveball. My wife wears a half gold date just with Mop and diamonds and does like the AP ladies Automatic RO. We have found a new but discontinued model in SS but from a holding onto its value standpoint what should I buy? Him or her, AP or Rolex?

Would you Trade...
Lange Zeitzone Platinum for a 5980 /1a straight up?have a potential cash buyer for my 5980 and someone that wants to trade for the Lange. I like the lange but the funds from 5980 were to go towards another patek. Just not sure if I want to add Lange to my collection...Anyone familiar with Lange and this particular model care to chime in? What I like about this watch is that its large (41.9mm) - what I dont like is that Lange doesnt seem to hold up as well on the secondary market.thoughts?
A visit to the AD
Went to my AD to drop off my 5711. It developed the sticking date issue. I guess I won't see it until next year.I did get to play with a few pieces and wanted to share with you guys. I tried on the 5890r and the 5164. Both amazing pieces and I can see both pieces in my collection in the future. I love the heft of the 5980 but Patek did an amazing job matching the RG case with the dial and strap. I like the 5164's added thickness and heft compared to the 5167. So my list for my next Patek keeps getting longer: 5164, 5205g, 5170g, and 5960p. Which one should be next?
With SS on the rise is it even worth not just biting the bullet for a PM?
Even if Im talking new to slightly used with the SS market seemingly booming wouldnt it be worth just going PM if cost isnt a major obstacle or you just want a SS? Ive been thinking about this and historically the PMs really seem to hold a large premium over what the cost difference was new. I know there are exceptions but I saw a LV for $12.5k USD and Id think going for a solid gold Sub a better choice. But like everything this is speculation. I mean how far are we from a $15k Sub. 7-8 years?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
