Porsche Design Rattrapante Chronograph P6920
Porsche Design presents the limited edition 45mm P6920 Rattrapante Chronograph with a design reminiscent of their P’6920 Indicator. The Rattrapante is available in 2 versions: PVD-coated titanium (200 pieces, priced at $27,550), and PVD-coated titanium with a rose gold bezel (50 pieces, priced at $35,730). The P6920 Rattrapante can measure intermediate times using its split-second mechanism. When the chronograph is started with the right-hand push-piece (at the 2 o'clock position), the two superimposed central seconds hands begin to move. The bottom seconds hand is stopped by the third push-piece on the left and indicates the first intermediate time. When the left hand push-piece is actuated again, the upper hand catches up with the second one and moves on in synchrony. Speedy Pro in the 1969 movie Marooned
Hello fellow Speedy Lovers. I am currently watching the 1969 space flick, Marooned. I first saw it at a drive-in back in Dec '69 when I was six. I loved it then and still do. I found it recently on DVD. I love this screenshot towards the beginning of the movie when Astronaut Buzz Lloyd played by Gene Hackman begins his EVA and starts the chronograph on his Speedy. In the research I've done I believe it to be, as do others that it is a 145.012-67SP that in fact came from Omega in that configuration.
Value of an old Seamaster
What do you guys think? Ballpark value, no box or papers, not sure of the year, but it is from a reputable dealer I've done buisness with before and he'll give me a 1 year warranty. Thanks
First incoming of 2015...
Well I'm very happy to say I have the first new (to me) Patek of 2015 inbound! The only bad part is I will be parting with my beloved 5970G and probably my 5960/1A...but it will be worth it! Any guesses?Hope everyone's having a great weekend
Glacier Blue vs Ice Blue Dial
Hi I have done a search but cant determine when Rolex changed the glacier blue to the ice blue dial for the platinum daydate. Does anyone know what year this occurred? It looks like it might have happened with the introduction of the Day Date 40 which was 2016 I believe? Does anyone know the year. I am also looking for the 36mm version. Thanks
