26331OR on a strap
Hi guys, is it true the blue dial chrono is only available at boutiques? if so what would be an appropriate discount to expect? Also have heard you can sometimes get a table clock thrown in, has anyone had any experience with that?
tang buckle for ROO strap
As with many, I have a lot of trouble with the ROO deployant buckle tattooing my wrist after 10 minutes of wear I have seen a non-OEM tang buckle that fits these straps...does anyone know where to get them? How are they in use? Thanks in advance!!
Incoming/oops...
Since I got back into the habit of reading about watches every day a couple months ago I had been seeing the 5712/1A coming up a lot. Many times it would show up in this-or-that type comparisons or polls. Last Wednesday I stumbled across this gem of a post:.watchprosite/page-wf....2513/s-0/pzt-/I had seen and handled this watch twice; once in the store, liked it, didn't buy it and then once at Patek. As I had been reading about it a lot lately, I was trying to figure out why I didn't buy it the first time I handled it. I couldn't remember the reason why.Originally I had plans to travel south and order a couple straps for my wife's new FP Journe however my wife had noticed I was looking at watches from other brands all morning so instead she suggested we go north to the city. To make sure I went she suggested we go to one of my favorite restaurants for brunch. When we first got into the AD I struck out on the main pieces I was hoping to see which were the Vacheron Quai De L'ile in s
Is 5990/1A a legitimate Nautilus?
I was always wanting to acquire a 5990/1A to complete my Nautilus collection as I have Nautilus obsession. And my AD called me yesterday to let me know I can have one in about two months also. He's nice enough to let me in to try on the one they have to be delivered to another client(I am the next!). The watch is cool, feels flatter than my 5980 and larger (due to a slimmer bezel?). I think I won't have any doubt if I am first time Nautilus buyer. But there are two issues bothering me: 1.somehow because of the dial color and design, it makes me think 5990 is an aquanaut instead. 2. This watch has no visible screw holes on both ears---two dual time pushers on the left side, two chrono pushers on the right side. This completely changed the look of 5990 for me, making me doubt if it is still a Nautilus. Folks, what are your thoughts? Would be glad to know!
Is Rolex the only company in the world not to price their product according to demand
Considering sports models, Rolex could increase the price but 30% and AD's would still have no trouble selling them. Why don't they? Every other company would always price their product according to demand, maybe it somehow relates to Rolex legally being owned by a registered charity?
