Pilots watch double chronograph edition Le Petit Prince
“If you please, draw me a sheep!” The blonde hero and the poetic humanist masterpiece written in 1943 by the French writer and aviator have been immortalised by the author's posthumous youth charity, FASEF. The watchmaker IWC has been sponsoring the charity for years by designing special editions just like this 44mm pilot's watch. The minute (at 12), hour (6) and small seconds (at 9) counters weave together in the heart of the midnight blue dial. The overlapping circles are dominated by the eye-catching jumping star display for the day of the week: seven stars representing the seven planets Le Petit Prince visits on his journey whose names are listed on the back of the steel case. A large vertical date display lies at 3 o' clock. The hours and minutes are presented as large numerals and indices beneath leaf-shape luminescent hands brought to life by a self-winding movement. Price: 12,100CHF
Blue AP RO?
SO I was in the AP dealer and they showed me a white SS 37mm RO that fit my small wrist perfectly. I said I wanted a blue, and she said there was a waiting list. I said fine. She then showed me another AP, the only blue in their store, and it was a very dark blue, almost a blue-black. That model was large and had complications. She said that was the actual color of AP blue so I should buy the white face. She gave me an AP catalog and when I got home and looked through it, the various APs, including the 37mm, were of the normal AP blue everyone knows and loves.Price of the one I want is 16K USD. Any thoughts on AP blue - has it changed or was she just using a sales technique to get me to buy the white dial?

Panerai P.5000 in-house movement question?
I recently picked up a new Panerai Radiomir 609 with their in-house p.5000 movement. I had a 510 Luminor for awhile with the same caliber, but traded it off. I've found that I much prefer the Radiomir case shape. With that said, I'm curious as to the accuracy of the movement. I really have two questions...1. How many seconds +/- should the movement be per day since it isn't COSC certified?2. When it comes to precisely setting the time, since this movement is non-hacking do those of you with this watch typically hold the crown to pause the second hand or should this be avoided? I know this was the process with the manual-wind Speedmaster. I just thought I would ask to make sure I am following the proper procedures when setting the watch before attempting this.I know with some watches it isn't recommended to wind time backwards, but I think that may be a thing of the past? I remember with a Speedy, just the slightest amount of back pressure on the crown would effectively pause the second
