AP Polish HELP
Hey Guys,I picked up my Royal Oak Chrono Gold in March and have been wearing it daily until recently. I've been showering/swimming/working out with it and it picked up a couple scratches. None of them are deep, but they bother me. I just picked up a Panda for daily & will be wearing the RO on the weekends. I want to send it in to AP for them to inspect it for a 3rd year warranty & have them polish it. My Q is: does anyone know the cost/time of polishing? And will my watch look different if i get it polished or will it look as it did new? Thanks in advance.
QoS PO & SMP or PAM 111?
I currently own a LE QoS PO. I initially intended to flip it tomorrow for a PAM 111. Today a shipment arrived and it was 3 nato straps and a carbon fiber leather strap, all which I ordered a while ago. They're 20mm and won't do any good on the PO, nor on the Panerai.I've also recently been playing with the thought of getting a SMP, a smaller watch for daily wear, which I can play with along with the natos and straps.1.jpgThe thing is I can't afford all the above. I can either flip the PO for the PAM or keep the PO and get a Quartz, black SMP.2.jpgWhat do you guys think I should do? Oh and I know this sounds lame but if the rumours are true and the next 007 would have a Rolex, would my QoS PO be any more valuable, since it's that last Bond watch?
What age did you buy your 1st Patek?
Hello everyone here at TRF! Within the last month I finally pulled the trigger and purchased my first Patek Philippe. It is a beautiful yellow gold Calatrava on a brown crock strap. I absolutely LOVE it and will be posting a few pics on line here soon. This piece has always been my grail and I was very pleased to be able to have purchased it at the age of 42. Which brings me to my question to all of you PP owners........how old were you when you acquired your first Patek?I know a first Rolex tends to be purchased at a younger age due to relative affordability compared to PP. But I expect to find that Patek to be purchased later in ones life either due to the significant financial commitment that PP requires, or simply due to the style. But perhaps I am mistaken. In anycase, please take a minute to reply to this message and let me know how old you were when you got your first Patek. Thanks!

What are you wearing for NYE? SLC for me! Happy New Year everyone!
Heathrow Rolex Discount?
Hi everyone. This is my first post. I'm sorry if this subject has been brought up, and beaten to death.I'm an American, about to move to the UK. I'll be working for the military, so I'm under the impression I'll be working under Notice 431: Visiting Forces.I'm looking to pick up a Stainless Steel Batman GMT Master II.I've seen other posts here and on other forums hinting that if a person goes to Heathrow, the AD dealers will give a discount equal to the VAT Discount. (Is this just for Terminal 5, or does this apply to all Terminals)I guess people are hinting that they are getting the discount equal to the VAT, and then they are also filling out the VAT 407 form. So, if I'm reading that right, it's a double discount. This seems to good to be true. I'm assuming this loophole, if it ever existed has closed. Please correct me if I'm wrong, as I'd like to know what the truth is.
