Watch Experts Network: ‘Tempus Machina Ref. 216A C A customized Rolex Submariner reminiscent of the Ref. 6538 (live pics & price)’
It's not often that we talk about customized watches here, at Monochrome-Watches. Brands usually don't like this practice that consists in changing several visual or technical aspects of a watch. We don't cover them also because of the look of such customizations C usually fully black or fully paved with diamonds. Such customization processes can even result is this horror. However, sometimes, aftermarket modifications can lead to proper beauties like the Heritage Submariner by Project X Designs or this new Tempus Machina Ref. 216A, a customized Rolex Submariner reminiscent of the Ref. 6538.What Tempus Machina does with its customized Rolex Submariner is taking the best of both worlds, meaning relying on the robustness, comfort and quality of a modern Rolex Submariner Ceramic no-date Ref. 114060 and modifying the austere look by adding several elements reminiscent of the vintage Rolex Submariner ref. 6538 (like this one). Everything from the shape of the case, the crown, the bezel, the
TT 116613lb for a AP Safari? Expert opinions needed
Ok as I keep using you kind gents as my impulse control mechanism here we go again lol! Ive always wanted a AP chrono diver but couldn't justify the money.... The situation has arisen that I have found a 2014 safari(from a reputable dealer) that's is willing to trade my 116613lb (same 2014) +$4900 usd his way for it....Is this a viable trade or am I throwing money away?Keeping in mind I've got a explorer II, GMT master II Coke, 114060 and a 16600 seadweller so I'm not short on RolexesI don't wear the TT often as the sub and the explorer get most of the wrist time at work I really want an AP but I tend to loose my sensibility when I get my hands on a watch and just say do it lol! Opinions?
Incoming for my daughter
I have a tradition of giving my kids a good watch when they're 18. It's a few months late but I found this for her. Now my daughter, son and I all have a Planet Ocean and my wife has a Deville. Yes we are spoiled.....
Deal on an Omega?
I am no expert on Omegas but this seems like a really good deal. It's not mine by the way. Had I not had a major expense in the last week I would have bought it..6speedonline/forums/s...d.php?t=132738Best Regards,Thomas Carey
I may be in the minority, but the 36mm Day-date is perfect.
I have been a Rolex lover, admirer, and owner for over 25 years. While I like and appreciate the newest DD 41, There is something just perfect about the proportions of the original DD 36. I haven't owned one, but would like to own one someday. While out running last-minute Christmas errands, I saw one on the wrist of a fellow shopper and just thought to myself, Man that watch is what started my love affair all those years ago. To me, the DD 36Represents the pinnacle of Rolex. Merry Christmas.
