Thierry Nataf Interview: New CEO Of Slyde Watches
He has been described as controversial, he has been described as extreme. One thing Thierry Nataf is not, however, is boring. That was the impression I got when I made my way from the heart of Geneva to a place in the mountains some 40 minutes away to the SLYDE offices in the Swiss countryside.High up on a mountain with views of farmland all the way down the valley, I sat down with Thierry to discuss his new role as CEO of SLYDE and his vision for the company of high-end luxury digital watches that right now seem to be without a perfect categorical description. By the way, please see the full watches-dealer review of the Slyde watch here. UPDATE: As of January 2013, Slyde has announced that Thierry Nataf will no longer be the CEO of Slyde but rather remain part of the brand in an advisory position. When I arrived, I was greeted by a tall, thin gentleman, with an intensity in his eyes that suggested a tremendous passion for life. I had, before I arrived, found comments around the Internet

Above, Jean-Claude SabrierF.P. Journe recently acquired the extensive horological library of Jean-Claude Sabrier at auction for the sum of 760,000 CHF. The library of nearly 1,000 books will be exhibited at the manufacture in the near future. 1 OF 1 Above, François-Paul JourneAt the young age of 17, F.P. Journe met Jean-Claude Sabrier in Paris. Sabrier was one of the world's foremost horological experts and historians. No doubt, this meeting influenced Journe's horological endeavors for years to come.Sabrier was one of the world's premier horological experts. According to F. P. Journe:"From 1960 to 1980 Jean-Claude Sabrier was a consultant for the Musée des Arts et Techniques at the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers in Paris, as well as for the Evreux, Rouen, Toulouse, Tours, and Blois Museums and the Time Museum in Rockford, Illinois, USA. 15300 Blue dial, no papers
Hi all,I am looking to sell or part ex a stainless AP Royal Oak 15300 blue dial, with the slight catch of having no papers. I have the box and purchase receipt, and even the booklets, but no original papers. How much of a hit should I be expecting on the price just so I can brace myself? Many thanks!
Help me Choose...
Ok, so let's assume I have a 15202 incoming and currently own 26170 on bracelet (ap ROO panda)I want to trade the panda towards a new watch and a few are running through my head:Ceramic/Forged Carbon ROO Chrono 44Ceramic/Ceramic ROO Chrono 44Ceramic Diver 42 - the boutique edition 15707ceForged Carbon Diver 42Ceramic/Steel ROO Chrono 44I am leaning more toward the 44 as I love the wrist presence of the current AP Panda and am not sure the 42 diver will provide. I will have the 15202 covering the bracelet and non Chrono so feel like Chrono on rubber is nice complement. Have also wanted a black watch for a while. But I also love the boutique only ceramic diver with see through case back and awesome movement. Plus down the road should do well. Which would you choose in my position and why? Thanks,Mike
Omega Speedmaster 3220
Hi Omega enthusiasts, I am extremely interested in this watch here: .omegawatches/gents/sp...-date/32205000, 40 mm will be perfect for my semi- small wrist. Here is the problem, this Speedmaster has an Omega Calibre 3606, which I read is based on the Valjoux 7751 movement. What is the vibration per hour on this watch, is the seconds hand smooth like a 28800 vph movements? I owned a midsize Omega seamaster blue dial, and the second hand was choppy, hopefully someone can tell me this one has 28800 vph. Thanks friends.
