Is no one else in love with this Speedy Broad Arrow?
Ref. 321.10.42.50.02.001 (bracelet) and 321.12.42.50.02.001 (strap)Picture courtesy of its seller. Those applied blue markers, including the OMEGA insignia, are just stunning. I was always drawn to the cream dial F. Piguet Broad Arrow, but IMO, this current model looks even better and has the bonus of a display back showcasing the beautiful column-wheel movement. Unfortunately, these don't appear to be too popular, so I rarely ever see them on the used market. New would be too expensive for me presently.
Any information is appreciated
I know we have some very knowledgeable members on here and was hoping for some information on this -ThanksMartin
Lume on Patek Aquanaut 5167A vs 5164A
I was in the AD the other day to view the Patek Aquanaut 5167A and 5164A as I had decided to purchase one. I notice that the lume on the hands and dial on the 5167A was a bit off... the colours were not uniform and it had a slight green tint on them (some darker than the rest). However, for the 5164A, the colours on the lume areas were almost pure white and uniform. To double confirm there was a difference, I checked around this forum for pictures on both models and indeed, what I had spotted were the same issues on the 5167A.Does anyone here knows what is going on? Isn't the lume being applied on the 5167A the same as the one for 5164A? I understand that the 5164A was almost double the price to that of a 5167A and thus, was the quality better? The other issues was although the 5164A also uses the 324 movement, would it have the sticky date problem like some of the 5167A or 5711 as the date display is done differently? Thanks and hope the seniors here and enlighten me on the issues above
Panerai stole the show at SIHH
Far too often, arm-chair internet watch company execs criticize the decisions of watch companies (to be fair, they usually are right to do so ), so, I thought it wortwhile to say BRAVO!! to Panerai for their effort at SIHH 2017.Really a momentous year for the brand, and very exciting! * major movement innovations (50-year gauarantee!) & interesting dial treatment (nanotubes!) combined with the recent carbotech (700)* new & innovative case material (metallic glass!) (692)* bronzo + gorgeous navy blue dial.... (671)* a new range of 20% thinner subs that retain the same WR rating: 47mm with the 1305 & 1389, and 42mm (!!) with the 682 (SS) and 684 (RG...)* 42mm mare nostrum!! * the chrono flyback with PCYW on the dial * a few other non-official models (such as a gorgeous white dial RG luminor, a kampfschwimmer dial model, the 687....)* a welcome re-appearance of the crown guard style bracelet* the America's Cup partnernship....a sign (to me) that things are going well and tha
