AD Discount on 15400ST Silver Dial, or TRF TS?
I'm considering a 15400 with the silver dial. Going to see one in person for the first time on Thursday at the Vegas boutique-- planned the trip in part around seeing that watch. I've already been in touch with a sales advisor at the boutique, and she knows what I'm interested in.What's the general sense of whether I'd be stuck paying MSRP or whether they'd give any consideration? I'd be a first-time AP customer and would absolutely be wearing it and not storing in a safe or flipping it. My only other major watch purchase was through a TS here (Thanh/AkaTakuya) and it was a flawless process at a great price.I'm curious whether there's much room to move at an AD. I've seen posts on here about other brands and models seeing as much as a 20-25% discount at ADs (on PM Rolex models, from what other users suggested) and the grey pricing is comparable to that pricing that those users reported. Appreciate any thoughts, insight, etc!
Oops they did it again!
Just picked up my new 15400 last week, wore it for 4 hours then put it in the case whilst I wait a 1.5 link. I'll start off by saying I'm an AP fan having owned a largely trouble free ROC and SS 44mm Novelty albeit both only for a short period of time. my wife for her part owns a RG Milenary and a lady RO so I have spent a fair bit of money with them over the years. Their watches are stunning and whilst having flipped all mine my wife's watches and the new 15400 are keepers. My problem lies with their QC. From 5 Watches 3 have had problems all resulting in a lengthy stay at the APSC. The last straw is my 5 day old (worn 4hrs) RO as today whilst admiring, setting and winding the crown pulled right out in my hand.I'm in the midst of penning a rather strong worded email to AP but wanted to vent off to the TRF community for those of you that may be thinking of buying.A lot of owners have had no issues and they do make great watches but their quality control is poorer than poor
Future Incoming
Well thanks to Takuya, I gave a long awaited future incoming of a ....... I have been on the side lines of my AD's waiting list for a year now and can't take the wait any longer. I need to find out if this red lines beauty will hit the sweet spot on my 6.5 wrist or not. I am hoping it fits as well as it's short lived predicessor and way better than its thicker older and bigger brother. I will of course be sure to post pictures afte my 48 hour wait is over. Man that will be a long time without sleep. So enjoy your weekend everyone and I will update when available.
The Rolex Effect on Economic Productivity
Okay, my underlying personal productivity was already low to begin with (bankers...), but with the arrival of my new Submariner, this already dismal job performance has completely flat-lined. All I do is stare at my new Rolex and try to keep from drooling directly on it!Is there a Rolex on your wrist that's affecting your productivity today? If so, please employ the excess capacity by replying with a photo :-)TGIF, everyone
16610V vs 116610
Looking to possibly purchase. Any collectible status on anniversary model? I hear the might stop making 116610?
