Christophe Claret X-Trem-1 Chocolate Watch
You know what tastes better than chocolate? Luxury chocolate. Oh, we like our sweets dressed up, for sure. Hershey's? No way, give us something imported from France and tell us they ship regularly to the doors of presidents and prime ministers everywhere. So what is better than a brown watch? An over $300,000 "chocolate" watch from the secret watch workshops of Christophe Claret (imported from Switzerland!).For 2014, Christophe Claret quietly releases a new version of the X-Trem-1 watch, known as the Christophe Claret X-Trem-1 Chocolate. This new color version of the interesting ultra-luxury watch combines 18k red gold and brown PVD coated titanium. watches-dealer first covered the Christophe Claret X-Trem-1 watch when it was originally released in 2012.In my opinion, the X-Trem-1 watch was underrated due to having a very unusual design and mechanism people didn't quite understand. For example, you need to be a real watch movement nerd to realize that it is quite amazing to have magnet

We love a good Edition limited here to Hodinkee, and we are also probably a little too tolerant accessories priced incredibly male. We also love a good story, and part of today all of this together. We mentioned before that Panerai was once the provider of nautical various instruments and watches military around the world.
TRF members...Lets see your Connie Pie Pans
I have a few and will post one every few days. It would be interesting to hear as much info you have on the watch; Ref #, movement cal, Dial variations and any provenance you may have on the watch. This first watch was one of my last acquired, a classic pie pan bought to be a daily wear watch; ref # 2852-3 SC cal 505 (see below) in 14k capped SS case. Original cross hair dial that meets the MOY test (see below) with arabic numerals at 12/3/6/9 and a nice gentle patina. The watch has moderate wear on the 14k observatory medallion on the case back Serial # 16,113,xxx which dates the watch to circa 1958. This watch is currently running +8 sec per day. This watch has some tarnishing / deterioration of the gold capping on the inner edges of the lugs as well as wear on the case from usage. As such, I was able to buy it at a very reasonable price for use as an all original, daily wear connie pie pan in my collection. The watch is wearing an Omega chocolate brown croc strap. The watch was acqui
First time buyer requires advice
I'm looking for some advice! I have the opportunity to get a Black Ceramic GMT on Interest Free Finance over 2 years, with only a 10% Deposit. Now another ''up'', is also the fact the Authorised Dealer is not keeping the warranty/papers etc.My overall Goal is to own the much sought after GMT Batman, however it would mean placing a deposit with a different store, and i would need to take out a Personal loan resulting in paying back huge amounts of interest. At what point is it better to buy the black ceramic now, and be content with that instead of getting the Batman and probably end up paying back 1,500 in Interest over 5 years.
