Zenith Teams With NBA Stars At Summer Groove ’09
Zenith was a proud sponsor of the 13th Annual Summer Groove benefit dinner held at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida on July 11th. Hosted by NBA stars Alonzo Mourning and Dwyane Wade, the Summer Groove is a festive five-day event that benefits Alonzo Mourning Charities and Wade's World Foundation. Actress Holly Robinson-Peete served as emcee of the benefit dinner. Attendees included Kenny Smith, Patrick Ewing, Rodney Peete and Jason Taylor. A live auction featured an 18k rose gold and steel men's Defy wristwatch donated by Zenith. Swiss Hublot has its hands in a lot of things, ranging from sponsorships to limited edition watches that seem to celebrate other limited editions. We can't cover them all, but once in a while there is an image or story that we just have to share. It looks like Hublot is sponsoring an Exosuit for the European team that is continuing to dive and explore the region around where the Antikythera device was found. UPDATE: Hublot has (of course) released a limited edition watch called Hublot Oceanographic ref. EXO4000 731.QX.EXO14.If you recall, back in 2011 Hublot's genius designer Mathias Buttet recreated the ancient Greek calendar device into a wrist watch. Does anyone know when the balance spring changed from Breguet to Spiromax? I've got a very late 2013 5980/1a and wondered whether this would have the silicon balance spring?
