Breguet Type XXI 3813 In Platinum For Only Watch 2015
Here is a one-of-a-kind Breguet pilot watch that has been made for the Only Watch 2015 auction event that will take place in Geneva this November. We don't take much stock in watch auctions, but we like to make an exception for Only Watch when it at least comes to noticing the lots available C since each of them are, by the rules of the event, "unique." For Only Watch 2015, Breguet has produced this platinum-cased, vintage-inspired version of one of my favorite pilot watches, the Breguet Type XXI 3810 series. Specifically, they call the watch the Breguet Type XXI 3813 with the reference 3813PT/G2/3ZU.According to Breguet, this is the first time they have produced a Breguet Type XXI model in platinum. Still, this type of watch would decidedly fall into the category of "stealth wealth," because of its attractive yet unassuming retro pilot-inspired look, complete with vintage-style leather strap and "aged-style" sand-colored luminant on the dial. Offered 2 Tudors to buy. Good deals?
Both are Black Bay Heritage's from 2016, in Canada. The 1st one is Red bezel BNIB from a TD for CDN$3150 plus tax. The other is 1 year old blue bezel with box and paperwork receipts from a TD for $2500 tax included. It also comes with an additional extra 3rd strap. Supposedly cdn$500 option. What are the prices like in Canada? Are they fair deals? Sent from my SM-G925W8 using Tapatalk
Daytona up to daily wear (and tear)?
I love my SS Daytona, it was my grail watch for 20+ years. But I just got it back from RSC service and it's just so pristine and brand new looking that I'm kind of afraid to wear it. Which is stupid, because I could get hit by a bus tomorrow and it'd just be sitting in a safe. I really want to wear it and enjoy it, all the time, no matter what, and let the wear and tear tell it's tale. I do have other watches I can use for really heavy duty activities (surfing, fence building, engine rebuilds) but if I just want to go for it, can my Daytona take it?JCATT
