Watch Magazines For Your Away From Computer Reading Pleasure
If you are into watches, then you spend a good deal of time online reading about, looking at, or shopping for watches. But you can supplement this time by looking at watch magazines. Yes, there are actually a good number of them. In fact, as watch enthusiasm draws some of the most artistic, mechanical, and style conscious fans, there is bound to be a good deal of well written print content on watches.Watch magazines are a good deal like car magazines in that each has a particular appeal while trying to remain general as well. Some are more "technically driven," discussing watch movements and innovations at length, while other magazines are more "style" or "lifestyle" focused. These latter options may appeal more to the casual watch enthusiast, and will most certainly include a few articles on other interests such as fine liquor and wine, cars, or travel. Technical watch magazines can easily bore readers by going into great detail with gear diagrams and the benefits of new techniques of
Hands-On: A Couple Of Predictions From The Upcoming Only Watch 2015 Benefit Auction C And What Might
Only Watch happens once every two years (usually in Monaco, but this year, in Geneva for the first time) as you probably know if you're a HODINKEE reader. You probably also know that the purpose of the auction is to benefit research into better treatments – and perhaps, someday, even a cure – for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, an inherited, progressive, and usually ultmately terminal illness in which a defect in a key muscle structural protein (dystrophin) causes slow but irreversible loss of muscle tissue. The benefit auction is organized by the Association Monégasque contre les Myopathies ("myopathy" is a general term for muscle tissue disorders) the Monaco Yacht Show, and an auction house which takes responsibility for curating and auctioning a collection of unique pieces made by the world's top watchmaking companies specifically for that purpose. This year, it's the Phillips Watch Department, which partners with the fir

New one for Mrs stevec14
Given I have spent a year or so buying watches and flipping etc, I am very pleased with the 3 I have and in the price point I am operating don't see anything that really floats my boat really, save maybe a 5 digit gmt. That said, rather than keep spending on me, I decided that my wife should have one as she loves watches but has been loathed to give up her tag which suits her beautifully and has some sentimental meaning.Anyway, it's her 40th next year and I thought I'd bite the bullet pre any possible price rise round the corner. It's a beauty and the dial is lovely. Is exactly the one she liked when we had a browse a few months ago.I feel more excited giving her this than picking up any of mine! Here's hoping she will be happy with one!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
