Confrrie Horlogre Hublot Presents “Liberty”
When formerly high-flying Swiss movement manufacturer BNB Concept sunk under the weight of its accounts receivable in January, Jean-Claude Biver swung into action, bringing BNB’s managing director Mathias Buttet and about 30 of his watchmakers to Hublot. Biver also acquired BNB’s entire machine base. These decisive steps place Hublot among the few brands that can independently design and produce even the most complex movements in-house. The group’s first new creation was shown at Baselworld. While at BNB, Buttet launched Confrrie Horlogre, a brand designed to allow talented young watchmakers to create the timepieces of their dreams. This concept will continue under the banner Confrrie Horlogre Hublot, and at Baselworld the group unveiled “Liberty” or Autant en emporte le temps, a reinterpretation of the pocket watch in the form of a gun cartridge, housing a tourbillon. The piece can be worn on a bracelet or as a pendent. Technical specifications appear
Watch Winner Follow-Up: Wryst Airborne FW3
This is a follow-up review from Derique Y. in Singapore, winner of the Wryst Airborne FW3 Limited Edition watch giveaway on watches-dealer in May.I've been following watches-dealer (formerly aBlogtoRead) for many years now, lapping up sweet images of watches that I could probably never afford, and half the time trying to imagine that hairy arm of Ariel's is mine instead.Every now and then, watches-dealer will throw out a watch for someone to win. Participating was simple, commenting on the post and liking some pages. I once commented on a giveaway and just like every other lucky draw I've participated in, I always came out empty, little surprise. Then there were other giveaways that I never bothered with simply because I could not care less about those watches.. dull and bland with no ounce of uniqueness. One day, along came a wildly designed watch from WRYST, in striking green and black. The case was unique; flared exoskeleton in DLC coating protecting the crown and pushers. I like big
Canadian to buy his first Breitling
Hello All,1st time poster...I have successfully landed a new job that is going to allow me to celebrate this life milestone with a nice momento from breitling.I am really keen on this model .luxist/2011/03/01/bre...tomatic-watch/Now my questions is...how should I go about purchasing this? more specifically..I live in Toronto and the only AD is LA SWISS...and I'm concerned I am probably going to pay more then I should (with taxes and canadian pricing). Any fellow posters with any advise on if and where I should look (perhaps certain stores in the US?) to get the best deal would be appreciated. Thanks guys for your help, I am looking forward to joining the club soon!
Calatrava?
There are no screws on the back of this guy so I can't open it up to get a reference number. But it looks like a Calatrava from the 60s, no?Bracelet is stamped 18K. There is a little bit of yellowing on the sides but obviously white gold that has aged.
