Opinion on steel or leather for speedy pro !
Hi All,So I narrowed it down to either:311.33.42.30.01.001 or 311.30.42.30.01.005.Here is my opinions and PLEASE let me know what you all think.Steel -- Little more expensive / and i can always grab a brown / black leather strap from Hodinkee and be perfectly fine with changing in and out. Am I going to wear the steel band more than the leather? I feel like i won't - What do you guys all do?Leather -- $300-$400 cheaper and I can get which strap I want. But I really don't know if I would like the steel anyway on this watch.Does anyone else like the steel band on the speedy pro? Leather more? Please advise! LOL.Much appreciated.Nick

new to the scene
hi allIm totally newbie to the world of PAM... but ive had my head turned - and im learning what i like and what the values are with a view to buying one some time soon.ive worked thro, Breitling, omega, rolex and AP sampling the models i liked or could afford... with varying degrees of pleasure / dissapointment regarding the value retention when it comes to selling the watch on again.... (i cant keep them - i have to flip for financial reasons)so my question is - where about on the spectrum does PANERAI sit ??, referring to resale value.... (assuming i buy used from a dealer rather than new) - thanks in advance
Daytona 116500LN - black or white dial?
Hi All,My AD called me yesterday that after the long wait the SS Daytona that I ordered long time ago is now in store. I am in such a fortunate situation that I have a possibility to choose between the white and black dial version. I went in today to try both on but honestly speaking I could not make up my mind either way. I love the black rims around the sub dials on the white version but also like the homogen black colour of the dial & bezel on the black version. Also as I wear the SD43 and a YMII on a daily basis I am used to bigger watches, so whichever of the 2 appears bigger is also a factor for me to consider.Any thoughts to help me decide are much appreciated. Thanks, Adam
Oysterflex query
I'm currently considering my next purchase and the 40mm SS Yachtmaster has caught my eye, although I'm not yet sure whether blue or dark rhodium. My question is simple:If I could get hold of an Oysterflex bracelet/strap would it be a perfect fit on the steel version of the watch? From pictures of the Everose model, it looks like the clasp would transfer easily and the strap would just fit between the lugs in the usual way on the springbars. Anyone have any experience of this ? Am I being overly simplistic? - I know Rolex has some very smart ways to prevent a mix & match approach between watches. If anyone has any pictures of a successful fit then even better! Thanks all.
