Odd bracelet try on
So, I tried on some RO's today and found something odd. I have a 6.5 wrist that is more oval than round. I tried on a 41mm RO and bracelet wrapped well around, I tried on a 37mm RO and it was the same nice wrap. So, they had a gold blue dial 39mm and the bracelet couldn't wrap my wrist. It was bending in on itself and not touching my skin all the way around. Anyone else ever experience this? Basically 41mm is too big for a dressy watch for my wrist and the 37mm is a little small, but the bracelet on the 39mm was odd fitting.Thoughts?
Why no "Fat" Spring bars on Omega dive watches
Omega has a history of producing dive watches that is on a par with Rolex, I have often wondered why they didn't use fat spring bars on their professional watches. Rolex and Seiko felt the need, but not Omega. How much weaker are the standard spring bars? Is there any need for fat ones?
Question about Omega Bond 007 Watch
This would be my first premium watch. Let's assume I decide NOT to buy a Rolex Sub and I go with Omega. That being said I am drawn to the Planet Ocean but also like the look of the Seamaster. I've always been a fan of Bond. I can certainly see it being fun to say we wear the same watch! I'm also drawn to the number 007 since my lucky number is seven because I was born 07/07/70 and weighed 7lbs 7 oz. You can see that 7 is important to me.OK on to the actual question.... If I decide to go with the Seamaster, specifically for the Bond model, which one is better?Choice 1: The actual watch worn in the movies, 300M 2220.80.00 with blue face.Choice 2: Limited edition model with 007 hands and 007 on the case with swirl Bond pattern on the face. Model 300M 2226.80.00.I don't plan to sell it in 5 years but you never know. Is the limited 007 model considered gimmicky in the watch underground or is it a special piece? I think its a nice looking watch and would be quite a conversation pie
Trade 2 roles for patek
I'm thinking about trading my ss Daytona 116520 and my green hulk sub 116610lv. For a patek aquanaut 5167 what's everyone's thoughts
Patek Philippe Quartz
My wife saw a watch at our local AD - the Patek Philippe 4920. Problem is, it's a quartz - and a lot of money. Is a quartz ever worth a lot of money? Your opinions, please.
