The Moon of Kalla is the last high jewellery line of watches from Vacheron Constantin. The model large Moon Kalia has 816 baguette cut diamonds, 23 brilliant cut diamonds and a rose-cut diamond of the Crown for a total weight of 42.61 carats. The stones are cut hand and hand-set to work perfectly with the case.

A new Speedmaster!
I stopped by the Omega boutique in L.A. last week...and got into a nice discussion of the Speedmaster Professional with the staff. I've been a fan of that watch since I was nine--back in early 1974, when my father bought one and explained its significance in the Apollo missions. The reason I was at the boutique was to pick up that very watch, now sporting a black leather strap, a change up from the original bracelet. The technician brought out a brand new Speedmaster. Not the Professional, but the 2012 reissue of the First Omega in Space. Slightly smaller. Lemania movement. Manual wind. Brown leather strap. Sapphire crystal, a nod to the present technology. I tried it on. Perfect fit! The Professional is just a little bit on the large size for me. Certainly wearable, but not ideal. This Speedmaster, though, seemed made for me!No discounts at a boutique, but they did sweeten the deal with a few incentives, including full service in my old Speedmaster Professional with no charge. I have a chance to purchase a gently-used Omega Seamaster Bond 007 2537.80.00 Limited Edition watch for $900.00.Seller has no problem accompanying me to an Omega AD for inspection.Assuming that all is good, should I jump on the deal?..I know VERY little about Omegas.....Your help would be gratefully appreciated. Patek 5196R lovingmthismwacth.. when do I wear it....
I really enjoy this piece. I got this , preowned, a few months ago. I’m struggling finding WHEN or WHERE to wear this. When do you all wear this watch.. or where.I’ve been wearing this with jeans, nice shirt. In extremely casual environments. No one but me recognizes this piece, either. I don’t have to dress up for work. I work from home mostly anyway. I feel somewhat strange wearing this with jeans, in casual environments. I also of course wear this when dressed nicely, but I’ve minimal occasion of any formality... it’s funny I find myself wearing collared shirts with jeans so i can wear the Patek.. I guess I need psychiatric care. My question: when and where do you wear the 5196, or similar pieces. I’m finding this piece far more versatile than my two tone submariner.. it’s awkward, though, because if other Patek owners saw me wearing this piece with jeans , etc, they’d start a brawl. So I’m just wondering when you all buy a Patek
