Citizen US Open Limted Edition Tennis Watch
Citizen has announced a special edition watch made to commemorate their 20th year as the official timekeeper for the US Open tennis tournament. The US Open has been around, in one fashion or another, since 1881 and is currently held at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York. de GRISOGONO Power Breaker Chronograph N08 Watch Available On James List
In my opinion de GRISOGONO is a pretty interesting and yet under represented brand (at least in the US). I am not familiar with their entire collection, but some of the stuff is interesting. A watch that epitomizes their sport piece collection is the oddly named "Power Breaker." In gold, it has a name that sounds like a piece of construction equipment. That or a WWE wrestler.A lot of this stuff just slips through the cracks. This "N08" Power Breaker Chronograph watch actually came out last year. In 18k rose gold, the case issquarish and so GRISOGONO. What does de GRISOGONO even mean? I love the watch strap. Looks like part of a Stillsuit the "Fremen" wore on Arrakis in Dune. You fellow nerds know exactly what I am talking about. Though I could easily like without the "Power Breaker" logo on the side of the rubber strap. ROO and Rolex
Don't worry this is not a Vs post Not sure if it's an OCD or misplaced brand loyalty but I have also collected exclusively one brand to the point where I had 5 Rolex watches which all looked very similar, yes to me and other WIS the subtle different between a 114060, 116610LN and 116600 were obvious but my watch rotation lacked size and style diversity.Moving forward I'm just down to the 116500 and 116600.I've bored you guys before with numerous 15400 questions but I've ultimately decided it wasnt right for me, I moved on to my original AP love the ceramic diver which was fruitless for what I wanted but in doing so it opened me to the ROO and dare I say I'm smitten.It's about as far away from the Rolex design as I could imagine but there's something about them, I couldn't let go of my two favourite Rolex's but would want to add it into the mix.How do you guys with a brand mix of AP ROO's and Rolex's find your rotation gels?I'm keeping exact model under wraps for now but I have made a p

5167A-001 Strap Question
I recently purchased a 5167A from a seller here. The strap that is currently on it has C09. I ordered a replacement strap through an AD (twice now) and was sent a C10. The first told me that the C10 is the only strap, so I ordered it through a second AD, and they also sent a C10. They are working to find out the difference and replace it with a C09. I am surprised that they are not familiar with the differences, and a little concerned that this is even an issue. Which is correct? Where have you ordered replacements?

A long lost Patek Philippe
True Story:My grandfather bought a Patek Philippe wristwatch sometime between the 1930's and 1950's. I know nothing about it other than it was gold and it meant a lot to him. In 1980, he died in the hospital of complications from lung cancer surgery at 75 years old. As he was dying, he told my father that he had hidden the Patek in the attic of their home, and hoped he could find it. In 1982, my grandmother sold the house. The night before escrow closed, my father and I spent a long evening in the hot attic pulling various floorboards looking for this watch. We never located it. I was 10 years old at the time, and it furthered my love in fine watches.I have stayed in contact with the owners of my grandparents' house. They are only the second owners (built in 1926-27). I hope to be able to access the attic once again when they sell the house, and perhaps be able to find this elusive family heirloom/treasure. Perhaps it will be gone forever, perhaps I will never find it or have
