At Baselworld last week Corum unveiled the Admiral's Cup Legend 42. The twelve-sided bezel and nautical pennants have defined Admiral’s Cup family for decades. For 2011, the collection expands with the addition of a classically elegant example. At 42mm, this new model is smaller than the collection's sporting versions, and the new design is more understated. Find pricing and wallpaper inside. The case has been redesigned with more strongly curved and rounded lugs, resulting in softer angles, while the sapphire caseback allows a view of the caliber CO395 movement inside. Beating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, it has a 42-hour power reserve and features an oscillating weight engraved with the Corum name.The dial features a vertical guilloch�� motif for the steel and two-tone steel & gold versions, or barleycorn guilloch�� for the 18K red gold models. L��m-Tec, without fail, delivers some of the most intense new watches every year. Unique, masculine and tough-as-nails, their watches have a character all to their own. We've taken a look at several different models over the last couple of years, including the M33, Combat and V series and are always left impressed. When we saw an early preview drawing of the 300M series, we were particularly excited by it. Vintage AP- water damage resto project started
This vintage AP is was left is a safe when the house flooded many years ago and was never serviced. The dial and movement were completed rusted out. I am getting closer to getting it back together. -The band and case have been cleaned/buffed, no more patina, but the gold is now shiny.-The dial was completely rusted/molded, it was restored- it now looks new.-The glass needs some service before it can back in...-THe movement is the worst, I actually found another broken AP movement, and my jeweler will be swapping out parts from both to make one good one.A few more weeks and this watch will be back in order...

GMT 16710: Vanessa's work, in progress, big pics
Hi Folks,I bought this beautiful GMT Master II Pepsi (F series, ~2004, no holes, SEL), and while it arrived looking fantastic albeit with an aftermarket bezel insert, it was not running well at all. But the watch, bracelet, movement, etc. are all genuine, so I sent it to Vanessa to do a thorough service and repair, inside and out.Turns out it needs quite a lot of work, as it had been tended to by a hack previously, who did more harm than good. But, Rolex being Rolex, and Vanessa being Vanessa, it can be repaired to perfect running condition. Some of the work and parts replaced include:-full overhaul with new mainspring-new driving wheel-new rotor axle-new great wheel-new tube-new crown-new pepsi bezel insert-various new screws-probably add'l parts I don't yet know ofPretty significant work, but all doable by Vanessa with genuine Rolex parts. Vanessa has been amazing, she's communicated with me via phone and text (my preference) and sent me many photos of the damaged parts that requi
