Watches NEWS
Advice on AP purchase.
I've 12,000$ to,spend on a new watch. I really like the 39mm steel white face gentra designed royal oak. Davidsw has a gorgeous one now. I am wondering about resale, though, resale IS. Factor to me. Is the 39 ambetter or worse seller than the 41? If you had 12k to spend on a sports watch, which AP would you choose.. I like the white dial AP MODEL.. his, price is higher than 12k, I know, but could stretch my budget to 14 max for,the right pied. I'd just rather not. I,welcome seller advice too. There is no authorized dealer near me, not even within 400 miles. https://davidsw/product/audemars...silver-dial-3/ Is the model at which I'm looking.
Joined the Royal Oak Club
I have to thank George and Alaina at Govberg Jewelers for the awesome customer service and giving me some Royal Oak love! I was in SF the previous week, and made the mistake of trying the Royal Oak on. Once it was on my wrist, I knew I had to have it. The person I dealt with in SF was kind of an arrogant a$$ and made me feel I was wasting his time by asking him questions. So I made a call to George, and was able to work out a trade plus cash to acquire my grail! I received the Royal Oak on Wednesday, and I just can't stop looking at it. The fit, finish, and quality of the watch is at a whole other level. I didn't realize how dangerous it was to own an AP, now I want a Forged Carbon diver for something a little more sporty. LOL Well on to the pics.
Is this a really rare bezel?
Hello, I had this for some time now. I looked online and see very similar ones that are extremely rare. The bezel has a greyish color to it. Any help is appreciated.
Which GMT?
I've been looking into a GMT to go along with my SD4K. I'd really like to go with a 16710 Pepsi but with the prices the way they are I feel like maybe a BLNR would be a more satisfying purchase in that price range. I really enjoy the build quality and dimensions of the SD4K and I feel like it falls in the middle of these two options. What would be a smart buy in the 16710 range? 3185 with lug holes, etc...?
Glad There Are No BLNR's At AD
I am a compulsive buyer. I wanted one so bad two months ago, that if it was available at retail I would have bought it instantly. I currently own a Coke 16710, a TT 16713, and a most recent purchase of a brand new Deep Blue at the AD. All exceptional watches and a joy to wear and have. Time to step back. The waiting period has allowed me to look at things from a different perspective. If you have more money than you know what to do with, stop reading this now. I certainly don't and have a plethora of priorities as money to me is worth at least 7%. There is no way I am ever going to pay over MSRP for any watch, so I started thinking of the excuses, or reasons for wanting a sought after Rolex. I ended up disqualifying most of them. Here they are:1) I will buy the watch because I am so in love that I will wear it for life. Best reason, go for it.2) I love to have what everyone wants so bad and cannot get. Sure, we all feel this way and proud to be the owner of a valued item. Hardly a reas
