Watches NEWS
The HODINKEE Editors' Top Picks From SIHH 2016
We saw a lot of watches last week – A LOT of watches. So after a much needed weekend off from writing and taking pictures, we have pulled together a list of our favorite watches from six different categories: Best Value, Most Unexpected Watch, Best Everyday Watch, Dream Watch, Guilty Pleasure Watch, and Most WTF Watch. Some are more surprising that others but all in all this is a comprehensive list of our favorites from SIHH 2016. Best Value Benjamin Clymer C The IWC Mark XVIII 1 OF 24 It’s as if someone was listening to us (and every other real IWC fan) when we asked for something smaller, less expensive, and better designed. IWC, at its core, and frankly, at its best, is the maker of tool watches that are elegant in their masculinity and excellent in their simplicity. They are at their best when they don’t try too hard to be something they’re not, and this Mark XVIII – with a 40 mm case, an anti-magnetic movement, a calf inst
Omega Seamaster Professional 2535.80.00
Hi all,I'm helping a friend find his first nice watch. He's interested in the Seamaster Professional GMT 2535.80.00 with the blue wavy dial, and we found one out of state. Is this model discontinued? Also, how much of a discount should be on this particular watch, BNIB? Thanks!
Aqua Terra 41mm and PO 42mm comparo
Does anyone have a side-by-side shot of these two watches? Specifically the AT 2802.52.37 with the brown croc strap?I finalized the sale of my PO yesterday and now I am looking for a replacement. I like the PO and may get another (different) one. But then I saw the 41mm 2802.52.37. I don't see them too often on here. I see lots of teak dials with date window, but not too many of the 41mm on brown croc.If anyone out there has shots of them together or just shots of the 2802.52.37, please post them or direct me to them. I did a search, but they are few and far between.Thanks. (missing my PO...already).Rob
What is the largest Patek on the wrist?
I'm wondering which PP has the largest wrist presence? Which is largest in height and total mm on the wrist? I know PP prides itself in a smaller conservative case however I am a very big guy and feel comfortable having a bulkier watch on the wrist. If you can please help answer this I would greatly appreciate it. I have ceramic subs, AP ROO 42mm which I love on the wrist and those are good sizes for me. In the world of Patek I'm trying to figure out which is the largest and comparable to these. Pictures would also be greatly appreciated.

I know the new Explorer markII is a real beauty but I have loved the white gold 3,6,9 markI since I first noticed the watch. It just suits my eye. The hands work just fine for me, in fact I didn't really notice until I came upon a thread addressing them. Non-factor for me. I'm a happy man with that new watch feeling that so many of us love and yearn for. Oh Happy DaySent from my iPad using Tapatalk
