Jean Dunand Shabaka Watch
It isn't still a new release, but it is still darn good. The Shabaka watch by Jean Dunand is a special style of watch that takes a bit from the world of art deco (look up artist Jean Dunand and you'll understand), and what feels like British mod artists in the early 1980s would have come up with if commissions to make a space ship (but a watch) designed by the ancient Egyptians. All that and a bag of tricks (the movement) as dreamed up and manufactured by Christophe Claret. The Egyptian theme is no accident either. The watch is intentionally done in this manner. The name "Shabaka" even refers to one of the Egyptian pharaohs who lived around 700 BC.The Shabaka watch starts with a specially made Christophe Claret Calibre CLA88QPRM manually-wound movement. Complications are plentiful including a perpetual calendar three cylinder displays. The dial shows the time, day, date, month, leap year, and moon phase. This might be the first appearance of the cylinder style information window. This

AD with every Aquanaut
All,I'm in Aruba as we speak. I stumbled upon (ok internationally stopped by) the only PP AD on the island.I was surprised to see they the 5167R, 5167A, 5164 and the 5167 in SS along with a bunch of Nautilus options (no 5711s though). The prices are marginally lower than the US (and no tax of course). Anyway, if you have a trip planned to Aruba and looking for an Aquanaut, thought I'd share the info. Also, they said PP will not allow them to ship outside of Aruba - even if you bought in person. If anyone is dying for one and I can help in any way while I'm here, let me know. I had a good conversation with the mgr and they seemed eager to please.
Submariner Date for a PAM 312?
Hey guys, I have been admiring your Panerai pieces for a while, especially the 312. The strap combos are just incredible. I purchased the Rolex Submariner Date (V series) less than a year ago, and I am considering a trade + cash for the 312. Owning both is not an option at this point. In your opinions, would it be a bad move? As we all know the Sub goes well with just about everything, how about the 312?Thanks, I appreciate your thoughts ...
