WatchTime’s March-April Issue Is On Sale Now!
The March-April issue of WatchTime is on newsstands now (and also in the WatchTime online shop), featuring our test of the Rolex Sea-Dweller 4000, our exclusive interview with Jean-Claude Biver on the future of TAG Heuer, a comparative test of dive watches from IWC and Tudor, and more. Scroll down for highlights from the issue? In the cover feature, Deep Dive Redux, Jens Koch explores the newest incarnation of the Rolex Sea-Dweller, an iconic divers’ watch recently resurrected by Rolex after a six-year hiatus. How does the “new, improved” Sea-Dweller 4000 hold up? Marcus Kruger provides photos. (You may also download this article from the WatchTime online store.)? Biver Talks TAG” with WatchTime executive editor Norma Buchanan in a wide-ranging interview that details the LVMH watch boss’s vision for the TAG Heuer brand. Tutima Watches' Secret Flight School
Seems as though a few times a week I am informed about a new pilot watch. Brands like to talk about how this feature helps pilots with this, and how aviators love that. Apparently someone uses a slide-rule bezel, and being able to see 12 timezones at once is useful. Without knowing what people who fly actually use and need, it is hard for me to discuss these pieces on a level above being a watch nerd. It is for that reason that I am happy to have finally got a taste for flight, and what aviator watches are trying to do, and trying to emulate.I am far from a pilot, but I did get a chance to finally do something in the sky. Tutima graciously invited me to check out their airfield near Salinas California. I call it the "secret Tutima air base" because until now I'd never heard of it - and neither would anyone else who didn't happen to be in King City or was in the business of flying. The place isn't just a small airport, but home of a very special school called the Tutima Academy of Aviati
I really like this
I know I could have posted this in my 44 thread but I thought it deserved its own. As you can tell I really like this watch
Thoughts on the Rolex Daytona White Gold....
and silver dial with the oyster flex bracelet: 116519Anyone here have the watch and love it? That oysterflex is super comfortable from the two times I've tried it on. Any thoughts on how it will hold value relative to the SS Daytonas? I know it's always more of a risk when talking about any precious metal watch vs the SS professional series line.I'm contemplating a PP Nautilus 5726 as well, or an AP Royal Oak 39mm (if I can get my hands on one). If I get the Royal Oak, I will get the IWC portugueser to go with it. I'm a lot more confident in the Royal oak or Nautilus 5726 holding their value relative to the White gold daytona.
SUBMARINER beautiful or boring?
Just sat here looking at my sub 5513 and thinking it's just black and plain. Wondering how something so plain can be so beautiful. A GMT, D blue, Hulk have other colours. But how come a plain old Sub of all models can be so beautiful . Hope Rolex never stop that dial . Who agrees !!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
