I received this watch about 10 years ago from my dad . . . he told me that they where only made for 2 years . . . I put the watch in a drawer until a few months ago . . . I called my big friend 'the watchmaker' if I could visit him and bring a watch to get back into shape ;-)He inspected the watch and said . . . no problem . . I wasn't expecting anything else ;-)So he found a new glass since it was cracked (I received it that way . . . thanks Dad ;-)Today he called me that it was finished so I jumped into my car and was really curious to see my first overhauled or restored watch.I am amazed what he did . . . new glass . . . a little bit of polishing . . . and a big service . . .There it was my new Ranchero . . . RubberB and Panerai

New 42 mm Explorer vs. 40 mm
I am considering an used Explorer II just because it is not the typical Sub style.What do new owners think of the new 42 mm case dia and BWG9 lume vs. The older 40 mm design? I do like the wider hands and as bit more prominent orange 24 hr hand on the newer Explorer. I believe the lug width is now 21 mm ? And the lug to lug is 49 or 50 mm? The 2mm difference might not make too much difference to a smallerwrist wearer?Thanks so much

Moving a 114060 for 14060
Hey folks. Wanted to get some additional input before making a move in my collection. Thinking about selling my 114060 for a 14060. Has anyone made a similar move and regretted the shift? I think the 14060 May sit a bit better on the wrist for a suit at work, but would love to hear people's experiences with the two. Also, are you giving anything up on the trade in terms of functionality or have people found the 14060 to be as durable?
