Cartier Rotonde De Cartier Annual Calendar Watch New For 2015
What a wonderful time of year, when many brands start to slowly show what they have been working on for SIHH 2015. Cartier is kicking off the new watch season with their announcement of the Rotonde De Cartier Annual Calendar, a nicely balanced and innovative (yet decidedly Cartier) expression of the complication that only needs to be set once a year. A complication of this sort manages to sit between Cartier's more standard high-end watch production and its haute horology department. Though with an in-house movement and precious metal case, it certainly leans a bit toward the latter.Available in 18k white or pink gold, the?Rotonde De Cartier Annual Calendar measures 40mm wide and 13.26mm thick. While the dial may pack a great deal of information, the case is minimal, with a polished finish and short lugs. The crown, in true Cartier fashion, is adorned with a blue cabochon sapphire that matches nicely with the blued steel hour and minute hands. While annual calendar complications aren't
IWC Aquatimer Watches New For 2014
The "new way" at IWC is to make each year themed. Last year was the year of the Ingenieur while the year before that was year of the pilot watch. 2014 at IWC will be the year of the Aquatimer, so expect to see a fully re-launched collection of some of the nicest high-end tool watches around. Actually, before we move on to discuss a preview of the 2014 Aquatimer watches I want to clarify my previous statement. While for the most part IWC shows the media only pieces of a specific family (i.e. Aquatimer), it isn't true that they don't release other new models. Those merely wait until later in the year to be released. Anyhow, back to our excitement over the new Aquatimers. UPDATE: watches-dealer has new 2014 IWC Aquatimer watch information with additional details and models here.It was back in 2009 that IWC last revisited the Aquatimer, and the collection was nice but a bit controversial. Why controversial? Nothing was wrong with the pieces but some people felt that they were too colorful.
Hublot's Tactic With The Blackeyed Bernie Ecclestone Watch Ad
The first thing that came to mind when I first saw this image in an e-mail from Hublot was "wait, what?" I didn't get it. What was this? At first I thought the image of Bernie Ecclestone was some type of painting. I?am not familiar with his face, but I do know of his work as the guy who runs Formula 1 racing. The British Billionaire's face was distorted with a painful looking black eye and other facial bruises. The 80-year-old was recently violently mugged, and among other things, his Hublot King Power F1 watch was stolen.None of this information was placed in the above image send out by Hublot. In fact, it is entirely cryptic in its messaging. The point of it is simple I think. A beaten up elderly man along with the statement of "See what people will do for a Hublot." Furthering the concept that the watches are so in demand, you'd punch your grandpa for one.Since the release of this image a few days ago, the media has been all over it. Mostly admonishing Hublot for its audacity and la

Birthday Buy?
I'm turning 21 soon in approximately 10 days. Can not decide if I want to buy a YG day date or not. I love the watch and will definitely buy it on at a later date if not now. On a daily basis, i sport a Tag Heuer Aquaracer and a Rolex Submariner and occasionally my fathers AP Royal Oak 18k. All prices mentioned below are in CAD.I pretty much have 5 questions.- How much should I pay for a used daydate yg? My budget is under 15k for which i have seen many watches but should i buy one for less or should i buy one for 15k. - Should i pay more for box and papers or should i get one without? The guy i will be buying from is a trusted dealer and friend in Toronto. The price for the one with papers is 17500- The normal wrist size doesn't seem to fit me, so how much should i pay for an extra link? Inherently how much do they cost??-Bark or no bark? I seem to like to bark as well as the non bark, without any information on bark i would have to buy the non bark. Is there anything special about ba
