IWC – Montre d’Aviateur Automatique 36Pilot watches have an instantly recognisable design: large size, big Arabic numerals, chunky hands, protruding crown and minimalist dial. Although highly popular with watch enthusiasts, some criticise the case size and depth for comfort or design reasons.To put a smile on these clients' faces, IWC has designed a smaller and slimmer Pilot's Watch Automatic 36 which, as the name suggests, has a 36mm steel case. The self-winding 3511 calibre powers the time and date functions along with the 42-hour power reserve.The dial comes in three colours: silver, slate and blue. The central disc bearing the black and white Arabic numerals and luminescent hour, minute and seconds hands stands slightly above the minute track. 15300 Back from Service
As promised, photos of my blue dial 15300...H Serial, post Spa.The impetus for sending to Clearwater was a broken hairspring, but a full-service was required. OUCH! So...I also decided to have the marks (mostly on bezel and near lugs) removed via a refinish. The bracelet was looking a tad worn, but now all is up to snuff.The watch definitely needs more TLC than a Rolex but I do love it.

First higher end watch....Omega worth double the price of a tag???
Both models i'm looking for are seamaster and aquaracer.New or used the omega is always double the price of a tag.Cant pony up for a rolex and is omega double the quality of a tag??Thanks.

I sold my Tudor Black Bay and my Omega Speedmaster sapphire sandwich to buy my GMT Master II. I don't regret it at all! However, I now kind of view the Speedy as the one that got away .
