This is an original Rolex Explorer with a DATE window!
This is an original Rolex Explorer with a DATE window! We know that the Explorer II has a date, is almost all other Rolex model under the Sun, but it was always disturbed us our favorite Rolex was missing such a simple and useful function. Often but rarely seen, this watch is an absolute dream for a large number of Rolex sports watch collectors, including at least a member of the team of Hodinkee (so buy quickly until it gets to it!).
Giulio Papi Explains The New Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept Laptimer Michael Schumacher Limited Edition (VIDEO)
We took our first look at this watch just last May, when Audemars Piguet announced it – and we said it then and we’ll say it now, we think Audemars Piguet deserves a great deal of credit for sticking with their association with Michael Schumacher, who despite his ongoing struggle with the catastrophic injury he suffered in 2013, remains, and will always remain, one of the greatest (if not the greatest) figures in the history of motorsports. As we also said then, the Laptimer Michael Schumacher is a phenomenal technical achievement, and to help us all understand it a little bit better, we were lucky enough to be able to get a full description of the watch from none other than Giulio Papi, of Audemars Piguet Renaud & Papi, the well-known, ultra-sophisticated horological think tank that’s given us some of the most interesting watches in the world – as well as some of the most interesting watchmakers (alums include Carole Forestier-Kasapi, the brilliantly prolifi
Outgoing and incoming
Hi guys - recently I began to question my CK2998. It really hasn't been getting any wrist time. Is a shame as I loved it, but I realised the reason was that it just didn't go with everything that I wore, to the extent it was lucky if it got 1 day a week. I'm also fairly traditional at heart, and if I'm honest am more comfortable with darker colours for watches (just me I'm afraid). That said, I wanted to keep a speedy in the stable and preferred the case shape and size to the pro. So decided to try a FOIS on and bingo. Just what I am looking for. The case I like along with the alpha hands and other touches. Love the brown strap also and the good news is my bracelet purchased for the CK fits. It's as if it's the bits of both the pro and CK that I liked merged in one.Flipping watches is never a particularly profitable business, but I got a good deal on the FOIS and am pleased to have it. Obligatory wrist pic below!Cheers, steveSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

speedmaster professional moonphase:3576.50.00
Is there any interest in this model? .omegawatches/index.ph...000&no_cache=1 Its a professional, manual wind, sapphire sandwich with moonphase and date. I know its not the watch that went to the moon, but in reality not even though sapphire sandwich went up. I really would like a watch with date, so I think the moonphase and date are nice touches considering its a moon watch. I also like its a 42mm alike the original and I know Omega makes a 40mm with date only. So here is my dilemma, considering that the 3576.50.00 and 3573.50.00 are not that much different in price, which one would you get? I think I really like the moonphase? From a collector's point of view, do you think this a bad move? How about the 3573.50.00? or the original 3570.50.00? Thanks for all your help.
