Initial Impressions: Uniform Wares 300
*Check out our full review of the Uniform Wares 300 here.?The Uniform Wares 300?Chronograph is the current top of the line model offered by the relatively young English brand, which they were kind enough to lend us for a review. I mentioned them not too long ago when they released their newest model, the 150, but this is the first chance I've had to really experience wearing one of their watches. The 300 comes in a simple, elegant and understated package that consists of an uncoated gray paper sleeve over a matte rubberized paper box (the paper itself has a sort of soft, rubbery coating). The watch sits in a contour cut dense foam that holds the watch securely and could definitely be used for travel. Understated is the key word here, as the packaging well describes the nature of the watch itself. Uniform Wares is not one for the flashy, maintaining a line of watches and a brand image that are defined by their restraint and devotion to a clean graphic design aesthetic.? The 300 is a stu
Hands-On: The Montblanc Heritage Chronomtrie Annual Calendar Chronograph (Live Pics)
The more time I spend in watches, the less interested I become in what the industry calls "halo" pieces. You know, those mega-comps that cost as much as a home in downtown New York, that you hear about exactly twice – when announced at Basel or SIHH, and when they sell at auction for a fraction of their original retail price. I am far more interested in great watches for reasonable prices that people can actually buy, wear, and enjoy, and that seems to be Montblanc's MO these days. We showed you this new annual calendar chronograph from Montblanc about two weeks ago, and I made a point of seeing it first thing at SIHH 2016 because, shit, it's an annual calendar chronograph for $10k. Here are some live pics and thoughts. 1 OF 7 First, they nailed the dial. It's a very complicated watch, with a lot to display, and the dial is more than completely legible. Each sub-register is very well spaced relative to the 42 mm case size – something we
Dual time at the Allianz Arena
Great sight seeing with my dual time.
My Wedding Gift!
So my amazing fiance decided that she wanted to get me an early wedding gift, or late engagement gift, I don't really know and don't really care! All I know is that she did GREAT!! (or I did great? )
Advise needed.....
Can anyone advise me how to submit a request for an extract from Patek's archives? I filled out the request form on their site, and first attempted to email it to the address on the site, however it was returned twice as an unknown address. I then attempted to fax it, also to the number provided by Patek, only to receive a busy signal time and again. Is snail mail the only real option? Thanks.
