Swiss Competition Commission Opens New ETA Investigation
Swatch Group announced yesterday that the Swiss Competition Commission (COMCO) has opened a new investigation against ETA Manufacture Horlogre SA. The Swatch Group statement notes that this is not the first time that the COMCO has investigated a company of the Swatch Group, and that the Swatch Group is confident that the results of this investigation will again be positive for ETA (a reference to an investigation in 2003 that was resolved by an agreement between ETA and COMCO). The Swatch Group announcement goes on to state:“However, the timing for such an investigation seems unfortunate. Since approximately one year, the majority of the external ETA clients have massively cancelled or postponed their orders, without any consideration for the ETA personnel, its infrastructure nor the investments which have been considerable also at ETA due to the continuous pressure of the COMCO as a consequence of the complaints from third parties.(Ad hoc translation from the German original)So
Can I also be part of SIHH 2017?
Can you spot the difference? Can I play and be part of the beautiful colors released during SIHH 2017?I'm content with mine though, I now know why they discontinued the silver/white dial with black hour/bezel markers. Feel free to let me know what you think!
diver comfort
Well I've had my ceramic diver on the wrist non stop for a little more than 48 hrs now, and I must say my fear of it being not comfy enough has vanished as after getting used to it it's incredibly comfortable for a watch that size, maybe because of the rubber band, I still haven't gotten used to the size visually speaking, when I look at it I have the feeling it's very very big, but I forget I'm wearing it, even sleep with it and no discomfort at all, whereas after having my 5712 I couldn't wear my Rolexes as I found them lacking comfort, but not the case with the AP, so for those hesitating about this go for it, after a small adjustment period it feels fine
Tried out the Moonwatch today. First impression
I have no experience with the Moonwatch but thought I share my first impression. Is the vintage look that I love about this watch! Not a fan of the metal band. Nato band would look awesome for the causal days.I am a bit shock at the price tag! I close to Subc price~Overall, I have to admit, it is not as exciting as trying out a new Rolex. My view only, other may not agree. I will look for a used moonwatch over new one I think. :)Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
After so many years lurking on this forum, I finally got one!
A bit of history, I am a die hard Omega fan so every nice watch in my collection is an OmegaHere is a family shot of some of them.I joined TRF as I wanted to add a Rolex BLNR but wandered into the Patek forums. I always thought one day I will own a Calatrava. Then I started seeing the Patek sport watches and got hooked. Changing my mind on what my first Patek would be. I actually tried last year but as you all know, certain watches are always hard to get. So instead I added the DSOM while I waited. Then I noticed a post a few weeks ago from BillA and took his lead on one I was looking for as no local dealers had any. Well I am happy to say it worked out. I have not touched it yet as my wife received it for me. Can't wait to size it when I get home.Box in packing peanutsFamiliar BoxLooks so shinyMy first Patek! I still can't believe how hard it has been to find the rubber strap version. I did find a bracelet version last year but I didn't want to buy it on a bracelet I would never use. H
