Visual Quiz: Off the Cuff
Here’s another test of your watchspotting skills. We’ve lined up 15 watches, covered more or less (mostly more) by a shirt cuff. Your task is to identify as many as you can. They start out easy, but they get tougher as you progress. As always, the answers appear at the bottom. Good luck!
Talking Watches: With Eric Ku
Eric Ku is one of the good guys. Actually, he's one of the best guys. Eric is a long-time vintage Rolex dealer of the highest order. He's the type of guy who can find you the $1,000,000 Albino 6263, the type of guy who can make a watch good with a simple blessing. Eric Ku is the type of guy who was talking about "RCO" Daytonas three years ago. Eric is the owner of VintageRolexForum, and dealer of watches at 10PastTen, but why he's here today in this series of videos about collectors has nothing to do with his profession, or even Rolex at all. No, Eric Ku, like Jean-Claude Biver, is a true lover of all watches, vintage and new, independent or not. Today we'll be running through some of his favorites, and show you the Submariner that started it all. This is Talking Watches with Eric Ku. 1959 LeCoultre Deep Sea Alarm 1 OF 53 Eric's 1959 Jaeger-LeCoultre Deep Sea Alarm is nothing short of amazing. His watch, which retains all original comp
Generally, Rolex is more expensive than Omega
A very close-friend of mine is interested in a white gold Rolex Day-Date but he discovered, the price is beyond his means. Alternatively, he is thinking about getting an Omega Constellation White Gold (with a date, at least), since more than likely, it is going to be very much cheaper and well within his budget.I have advertised in the TRF WTB section but there is no response. Is there any chance, anyone knows where I can get one, for my friend. It could be from an individual or a dealer. Please PM me, if you so wish. Thanks.
PAM 372 vs 183
Hi All,I'm having a difficult time trying to choose between a PAM 372 and a PAM 183. I am well aware that these are two very different watches and in different price points. I currently own a Rolex Deep Sea and an IWC Portuguese 7 Day (5001). I used to own a PAM 177 (ti) but sold it to fund the purchase of my IWC. Not soon after, I realized I need a Panerai to complete my humble collection.I think the 372 is a beautiful piece but not as versatile as the 183 due to it's size and style. I am not so concerned about the technical aspects of the watches but more on the aesthetics. That said, I would be grateful if you could share your thoughts on this matter.
Incoming Tudor!
Hi all - picked up a date day 76214 today. Love the size, the dial and the bezel. Most of all, I did not have a white watch so that gap has been plugged. Is a full set from 2013 originating in Hong Kong. Very pleased with it and makes a good addition to the collection. Have something for most occasions now in 36, 38, 40 and 42!And a family photo....Cheers,SteveSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
