Perrelet Turbine Poker & 007 Limited Edition Watches
These two limited edition Perrelet watches go together right? Sure they do, gambling and 007? I am going to be careful and not mention James Bond. Perrelet doesn't mention James Bond and I don't think they licensed the right to use that IP franchise. Though apparently "007" was OK to use. The imagery they use however when discussing the Turbine 007 watch on the new Turbine micro-site is strongly evocative of the James Bond theme - without outright saying so. The official name by the way of this watch is the Perrelet Turbine 007 License To Play watch. Then there is the Perrelet Turbine Pokerwhich if you have a "license to play," you can. This piece actual comes in three distinct models. The difference of each? The cards displayed under the turbine.? Version 1 (Ref. A4018/1) has random cards and a pair of sevens. Version 2 (Ref. A4018/2) has a pair of sevens and two royal flushes. Version 3 (ref. A4018/3) has a pair of sevens, three kings, three jacks, and a few other random cards. Don't
Need your valued opinions!
Hello all, new here to the forum but a long time lurker. Always been into rolex (sub 14060M, Explorer II, both gone), now a DJII fluted bezel blue dial and a sub 114060, but....recently contemplating an AP 15400 blue dial. As many I do have some doubts about the size so I would like to hear your opinionsOfcourse, at the end of the day I should buy the watch if I like it, but would like to hear your thoughts anyway! (and btw, I think the 15450 dial is too small, and 15300 you can't get new anymore..)The pictures are of a rosegold version a tried on at the AD.
New Teaser Up!
Omega just released a new animated teaser on their homepage and instagram. Their title is Here it is. Every piece of our newest watch. https://.instagram/omega/Looking to me, and most of us on OF, that we're seeing our first glimpses of the new Railmaster. Very fun teaser and I thought I would share it with other Omega fans here on TRF. Between the presumed releases of new Railmaster, Seamaster, and Speedy 60th anniversary this should be quite the year for Omega fans!
Is my brand new Aquanaut Broken or do PP just suck???
Sorry for sounding frustrated but am going back to see my AD. I did read in someone's thread that the self winder can be heard on PP watches (but i don't expect that is every second of the day). I am Ok with hearing while going through real motion, just as you can hear it in a Rolex as well as my GP when you shake the watch and have it relatively close to your ear. My Aquanaut can be heard with a sound that's like ball bearings going around in a race when doing such menial tasks as typing on my PC at work. This CANNOT be right, if it is, my PP experience is going to be REALLY SHORT (as in less than a week). I would not be expecting to hear something like this in a $100 mechanical seiko (in fact I had one once and it did not make a noise). Beyond that I love the look.It is keeping perfect time so I really think this might be as good as it gets if so..... my PP dream is done. I struggled to even think today at work as all i could hear was a whirring zizzzing sound ever time I struck a ke
Impure thoughts...
I struggled hard to overcome the voices in my head daring me to run out the door clutching these treasures at the Christie's viewing in Hong Kong...PP5016PPP5207G and 5074JLuckily, I am far too honest (and I hear Chinese jails aren't very good!), so I satisfied myself listening to the musical chimes before handing them back to the auctioneers...MW
