Breaking News: Sotheby's Chairman Daryn Schnipper Confirmed For HODINKEE Collectors Summit, To Discuss Selling The Most Expensive Watch In The World
The HODINKEE Collectors Summit is really taking shape. Not only will we have the likes of Aurel Bacs, Jason Singer, John Reardon, and Philippe Dufour in the house for completely candid, behind the scenes conversation with you, but we are thrilled to announce a new addition the schedule. And it's a big one. Like, to the tune of $24,000,000. Daryn Schnipper is the international chairman of the Sotheby's watch department. She is the woman responsible for selling the most expensive, most important watch on the planet, twice. Yes, Daryn is the woman who first set the record at $11 million dollars for the Henry Graves Supercomplication – one we thought would stand for all eternity – only to break it this past November by selling the very same watch for over $24 million. Help with Trade on collection
Hello Again everyone I need some advice!!! So I've been refining my collection I got rid of my Omegas and I sold my old 5711 to fund a brand new 5711 blue dial from an AD as they finally got one in so papers are in my name. Anyways I need help because while I was looking in the dealer I realized although I'm a huge watch enthusiast that likes a variety of brands Patek seems to really make everything else I try on not so satisfying. Now I have two questions that I need advice on what to do to well round my collection. So my currently I stand with these beautiful watches: A Rolex Milgauss White dial, A Rolex Blnr, a Rolex 116520 Daytona, an Ap 15202 white dial 2014 dated so hard to find a late model white dial and of course last but not least my Patek 5711 blue dial. The two watches that really got me moving was A Patek Philippe 5726/a on a leather strap and a Patek Philippe 5960/1a just really was a stunner. So I'm to the point now that for a short period of time I'm not comfortable buy

The watchmaker is offering me this watch for $8300 cash which I think is a steal I've spoken to him and asked him about a bill of sale and he said of course I will provide you with one with the sellers name and the watchmaker and I will sign it....this deal sounds too good to be true...can yal advise me on what things I should be looking out for? My concerns are the watch being stolen this is a side deal from where he works he is a certified Rolex tech any advice would be great... ps the watch was serviced by the him (watchmaker) that is trying to sell it to me and it comes with a
