Roger Dubuis Excalibur Spider Pocket Watch Time Instrument
It is very unusual to look at a piece of such undeniable quality as the Roger Dubuis Excalibur Spider Pocket Time Instrument and find a number of more critical points sooner than anything else-but I guess this example is one that I will remember as proof that first impressions can be misleadingWith?the release of the Roger Dubuis Excalibur Spider Pocket Time Instrument, this Geneva-based?manufacture?has actually stepped up their game. At SIHH 2013, Roger Dubuis released the Quatuor (hands-on here), a watch with a weird name and a weirder (and amazing) movement: and so, in the past, it?may have been arguable to suggest that Roger Dubuis was a hair more concerned with the aesthetic than the technical, but with such a halo-piece, the?manufacture has proven beyond doubt that technical whimsies are very much a source of interest. And why am I so sure? Because four balance wheels is just excessive in a way that is rare to see even from some of the most ambitious of high-end Swiss watch brands
Found some Omegas...
...and know nothing about them. They come from a jeweler and are sitting in his drawer for refurbishment. I don't have any serial numbers and very little info on them, but I'm curious to know what you guys think??Thanks Watch 1:The orange hand functioned as a stopwatch, activated by the pusher.Watch 2:Damaged, Seamaster but looks early and with red date.Watch 3:Constellation. I think he said its blue lapis with gold specks? This had L80(with omega sign) marked between lugWatch 4:Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Cyclops Size on GMT Series
Hi guys, was out with a bunch of friends the other day, and we all laid out our watches on the table. I noticed the date on my TT is much smaller than my friend's BLNR from the pic attached. My watch is dated 2015, while his is 2017. Anybody know the reason behind this? Did Rolex update the cyclops after 2015 or something? Thanks.
Vibration when Winding
My wife doesn't wear her 31mm DJ very much and today I put it in the winder in my safe. Before I put it in I decided to wind it and set the correct date and time. When I wound it I could feel it vibrating in my hand, very similar to a cell phone vibrating. It was tight, but has always been tight compared to my larger crown watches. I only gave it 5 or six turns to get it started and put it on the winder. I'm thinking the rotor is spinning with the winding action? I had the watch serviced in Oct 2014, and it hasn't seen a lot of use since then.Any thoughts?
