Porsche Design P'6910 Indicator Watch Available On James List
One of the coolest watches of the last few years didn't see its proper level of greatness because it was too expensive. At over $100,000 (retailed at about 78,000 euros) the Porsche Design Indicator remained a beautiful and fundamentally superior design that you could only appreciate from a distance. Eterna, who makes all the watches for Porsche Design, still makes 2-4 of the Indicator watches per a year, but on request only. The watch is limited to 50 pieces, so eventually they will be all out. Let's take a quick peak at this watch. You can also get them online, with a few available costing in the $100,000 range. Original retail was at least $20,000 more than that. What made the watch so great was the (mostly)? in-house movement, sexy functional design, and ultra easy to read dial. The name "Indicator" referred to the digital readout of the chronograph. While the chronograph seconds used the main dial in an standard analog format, the right side of the dial had a digital jumping set of
Chrono or GMT?
Hi all. I'm looking for some help in picking out my next watch. I am looking for a sport watch for, primarily, weekend and vacation wear. The two watches I am looking at are the Omega 2225 Chrono and the Omega 2535 GMT. I might also consider other watches in this series, such as the quartz varient. These watches meet my qualifications for durability, waterproof, and look great on either a steel or a rubber strap. Here's my question, I tried on both of these watches and I was concerned about how thick the 2225 was. I actually prefer this watch over the GMT because I like the chrono look and function and I already have a Rolex GMT. Do any owners out there find the 2225 too thick or bulky for casual wear?As I said the watch I end up buying will mostly be worn during off hours like weekends. So, although thick, I am unlikely to be wearing long sleeves and trying to get the watch under my cuff.I'll try and post pics later showing the two models I referenced.
Aquanaut 5165 vs 5167
Is there any other difference in the 5165 from the 5167 other then size ?
Do your AD's staff wear Rolex in the store?
I only visit two AD's, both local. But I have only seen staff wearing a Rolex on one occasion, and she was wearing an older reference Air-King.Just curious, do the staff at your AD's wear Rolex watches in the store? Thanks.
Day-Date 36 President Bracelet Question
Hello forum members. I am considering purchasing a new Day Date 36 with a President bracelet. My question is: Does the Day Date 36 President bracelet have the ceramic inserts that the Day Date 40 has? This was a modification to the bracelet that was announced when the Day Date 40 was introduced at Baselworld 2015. I would like to know if Rolex has since made the same modification -- ceramic inserts in the links -- to the Day Date 36 bracelet.Any information about this is most appreciated. Thank you very much.
