Arnold & Son TB88 "Inside Out" Watch
Now, here is an interesting new watch that I wasn't expecting from UK based Arnold & Son. The concept is that the movement is "inside out," well sort of. Basically what you see on the dial is typically what you would see on the rear of the watch. Arnold & Son isn't the first to offer a watch that applies this concept, but their new TB88 does that and has a few more tricks up its (exposed) sleeve."TB88" sounds like some super mutated version of tuberculosis. I don't want to contract TB88! There should have been a better name. TB actually stands for "True Beat," which is Arnold and Son's way of saying dead-beat seconds. This complication has been given a lot of names over the years. It refers to a seconds hand that ticks, but is part of a mechanical, not a quartz watch. Ticking seconds hands have been around for a long time, but since quartz watches came around people began to associate them with cheap timepieces. Wants to buy used 15202ST. Need guidance
Hi All, I'm new to the forum. Hoping you guys could help answer my questions. I stumbled upon this beauty (can't post image yet) last week as I was recommended by a friend and I'm really interested to buy the watch. I found huge scratch on the bracelets. Hoping I can find some answers here in the forum. 1. Is it good idea to polish 15202ST? Do you think it will lower its price value significantly? I know that some brands should NOT be polished at all, but I don't know much about AP. 2. Instead of polishing, is there any other solution? Is it possible to just replace that 1 plate of the bracelet? I don't mind a few dents here and there, but that scratch really bothers me. 3. Is it possible to replace the bracelet altogether? Will it affect it's values somehow? 4. Regarding the warranty, I was told that its 2 years warranty had recently expired just a couple of weeks ago. As far as I know, AP has 3 years warranty. I want to add a third AP 44 to my existing collection of two44's the rose gold and the summer edition. Kindly let me knowwhich one to go for the ceramic or the TI. Royal Oak 5402ST vs 15300ST
Gents, I'm in the market for an AP Royal Oak and have been able to source both the 5402ST (D series) and the 15300ST - both black dials. I was wondering, in your opinion, which one of the two were better watches to own. the premium for the 5402ST is about $1000, and i would like to know if its worth it...Please help me make this decision!
