Pro Restored Seiko Bell-Matic 4006-6021 Watch For Sale
There are few things as sweet as getting a newly restored vintage watch. You get the pleasure of nostalgia, along with that special sense of personal touch from a master restorer's handiwork. It is a good thing as Martha Stewart would say. Bob Thayer is in the business of repairing, restoring, and modifying all types of watches, with a bit of a specialty on Seiko watches. He has something special for sale which I thought would interest you. This watch is one of the Seiko Bell-Matics. A mechanical alarm watch that was extremely popular "back in the day." They are no longer made, and while these watches can be found, so few are in good condition. In Bob's capable hands, you get a stunning vintage watch ready for daily duty - with a loud alarm. The watch is available restored, for $325. Here is a intro into the watch by Bob:*Below content written by Bob Thayer for aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer*The Seiko Bell-Matic was produced from late 1966 to 1978. They were made using "4006" automatic move
Can i pull it off???
Been checking out a couple of AP and about to pull the trigger on a deal with DavidSW...I have a small wrist 6.2 so i was wondering if i could pull of a RG RC or stick with the 15400OR? the ad didn't have the 15400 so i can't try it on but it's 41mm and thinner so i figure it could fit me better. Also, will i be needing to get a short strap or the regular one could work with my wrist?or
No more Arabic number lume on Aquanaut 5167/A?? Please post your lume pics!
Hey guys,I'm on the fast track at acquiring my grail watch....the 5167/A. However, a local AD who hasn't had any inventory since the middle of 2012 indicated to me that newly produced 5167/A (after mid-year 2012) are NOT carrying Arabic number lume???Is this correct??One amazing characteristic of this watch that I truly appreciate is the AMAZING lume, far superior than any Rolex/Tudor I have owned.Could you guys post some lume shots of your 5167/A for me?? Thanks for your help on this issue, if it is true, I'm gonna have to track down an older 5167/A.Regards, David
Pam386
Does anyone know where I could purchase a PAM386 (brown ceramic)? I take it these are very rare.
What SS Rolex models can you find at retail?
Curious to see what people can find in their local area or places they have visited recently. For me the Explorer I (almost everywhere), Explorer II (both colors, usually have a black or white if not both), and an Air King (not everywhere but it's not hard to find) are the ones I see. I occasionally see the Deep Sea in Black as well. The blue Milgauss is a bit more uncommon but it can be found but the GV model is pretty much everywhere. The GV doesn't seem to sell all that well as I'll go to the same AD and still see the watch there, while other models rotate as they sell. The Sub was everywhere until fairly recently. I still can't believe that there is a Sub scarcity... Models I've never seen just sitting in an AD are the BLNR, Hulk, SD43 and Daytona (you see the precious metal models everywhere though). Luckily, I've gotten to try all of them as I have a friend who owns a BLNR and another who owns the Hulk. Funny enough, maybe I'm just not paying attention to them, I don't remember s
