New 3120 Movement for 15400 - Concerns with Winding
Just sent my 15400 in for servicing because the date got stuck and the watch is dead. Service centre changed the movement to a new one.Now I found that when I wind it, after one or two rotations of the crown, I can sense and hear a Tsk sound each time. ( as though the spring slipped)Checked with the service centre and they say it is normal. I am not convince so would like seek some advice from experts here if anyone experienced this, and if all the new 3120 movements have this unique sensation. Please advise. Thanks
A smaller Omega
I haven't posted much on this forum before but started reading when I was looking for a 2255.80.Here are a couple of pics from this afternoon. My wife's watch is the smaller one...
Considering a Speedmaster Broad Arrow
Looking to buy a Broad Arrow, this one to be exact. I can't find any AD's in my area with it in stock, and of course if they order it they don't want to discount it. Any recommendations on good grey market dealers or AD's? Called alanfurman and they said $3600 and that the watch would come with the warranty card from the AD they purchased from so the Omega warranty would be valid. Is this true? Is this a good price for this watch? Thanks for any help, I've been buying Rolex's lately and am a little out of touch on the Omega's.
AD visit--5711/1R
Stopped by my AD here in HK and was surprised to see stock of the 5711/1R. They also had a 5980/1R, as well. There is a waitlist for most popular pieces since the price drop so I thought it quite unusual to see the 5711/1R in particular.Thoughts: I was expecting the 5711/1R to be much heavier but it was perfectly balanced. Makes me want the P version even more The dial seemed a bit off to me--I really prefer the dial color on the 5980/1R in combination with an R version or maybe even a blue. Not a buyer but I thought I'd share some pics. And of course, the 5980/1R is simply amazing--a grail of mine. PM me if your interested and I'll let you know where. For reference, after the std 10% discount in HK, the prices are:5711/1R = 343,710 HKD = approx. $44,350 USD5980/1R = 572,940 HD = approx. $73,930 USD
