LUM-TEC 500M Watch Coming In 2010
It was only a matter of time until LUM-TEC created a diver watch, and I couldn't be happier about the result (that will be released late next year). While LUM-TEC still refers to the watch as the 500M concept sometimes, it is going into production as a limited edition of 500 pieces. The watch includes all of that LUM-TEC DNA we love in a package that we can't resist. Personally, I am a sucker for nice diving watches and this items knows precisely how to get my attention (and desire).The design is a mix between modern looks, classic diving watches, and some other LUM-TEC pieces. The case is in steel and 44mm wide with a massive rotating divers bezel (with an equally large lume dot). The case is made with a series of aggressive looking sharp angles. Notice the thick lugs which add to the visual strength of the watch and also look like the tips of Japanese katana swords. Service cost on AP? - Just things to consider before a purchase. (input appreciated)
Hey guys.So before I make any decision on this beautiful 15450, which IMO is a perfect fit for my wrists, I have a few questions.I generally am very careful with my watches, and I am aware that the AP RO is very prone to scratches, and I would I assume knowing how I am, I will probably want to service her every few years. How much does a service generally cost?I assume if there is a deep ding on the bezel, it would have to be changed. Would this literally cost a fortune?Lastly. Would you think this is a good idea for a second watch?First being a Rolex GMT.Input is appreciated!

A Visit to AP Service Centre in Singapore (*Heavy pics content*)
It was a cool drizzling Monday morning as I pulled my vehicle into a spacious car park located at a tranquil site off the busy Orchard Road. I was privileged to be invited to a private workshop tour at APSC to take a glimpse of the behind-the-scene actions of my favorite watch brand. To NO surprise, I would summarize upfront that this experience was typically excellent, a well-rendered hospitality one would expect from a top luxury brand. Of course, I'm full of confidence in the technical competency and quality of the watchmaking team after the tour. With its tranquil location and contemporary layout, APSC presents a welcoming atmosphere for both guests and staff. There are many Royal Oak inspired decorations around, which signifies the importance of RO to AP. Thomas Rubi, the Regional Customer Service Manager, was my tour guide of the day.
