Today is the day Apple will start shipping its Apple Watch. Thus far, the watch has been warmly received with most reviewers saying that its the best watch of its class C albeit, also mentioning that it?needs further refinement (Ed. Note: Don't miss today's review article on the first day of wearing the Apple Watch). However, if you are in the market for the solid gold Apple Watch Edition models, functionality is probably not your biggest concern. With that in mind, we checked out the Apple Watch Edition, and just below, you'll find?all you need to know about it. The gold Apple Watch is not the only bling piece we have in our round-up this time. How about the outrageous $18 million Jacob & Co. Billionaire watch? Or if that's too rich for your taste, MB&F has two more appropriately priced pieces in the Melchior Robot Clock and the LM101 Frost. On a more serious note, we pay special attention to a very important and special new movement, the Eterna Caliber 39. Looking to add to my Omega collection... Need help choosing....
I have a void in my watch collection that I was planning on filling with a GMTc but that looks to be out of the picture for now. So I need a black dial/bezel timepiece to fill the void. Although there are many other brands that I like as well, I want to stick with an Omega. Here is what I am currently rotating on my wrist...Omega PO 45.5mm ORANGE DIALOmega SMP 41mm L.E. Bond 007 BLUE DIALThat being said, I thought that a S/S Black dial/bezel Speedmaster would be a nice addition since the bracelet would be different than the one on my SMP and the watch is completely different in appearance too.BUT............. I also like the look of the older Black dial Seamaster with the sword hands. I think the Speedmaster is the best choice for me.......I just need some help to push me off the fence.... TRF HELP! :)
What an Omega FS

Possible Vintage Frankenwatch? Thoughts?
Cleaning up my wife's late grandma's house, we came across this watch. It's marked Omega 17 Jewel Incabloc. Feels a bit light compared to my vintage Seamaster (166.0209). I'm taking it tomorrow to my watchmaker to have a pro look at it. Anyway, I can't seem to find any info on this watch. My guess it's a frankenwatch or a re-done dial. It's not quartz or automatic, it's a wind-up. Any thoughts would be great! Thanks, Cliff
