SWATCH Tender Present
What could be better than love to start the year with a bang? We're talking about true love, the kind that makes your eyes shine and your heart ache. Love is all around us with soft touches, kind messages and gazing deep into each other's' eyes. The new Swatch comes straight from the heart. If Romeo wanted to prove his love to Juliet today, he'd give her the Tender Present timepiece. It wears its quartz heart on its sleeve with parts in a range of rosy tones from baby pink and purple to fuchsia all rimmed by a wide silver chapter ring. Two metallic baton-shape hands track the hours and minutes whilst a central seconds hand with a heart-shape counterweight glides above. A big red heart beats in the 34mm white plastic case's openwork dial at 8 o' clock. Turn the strap over to read the sweet "handle with care" instructions. Price: 75 CHF. Sharmila Bertin
Oris Divers Sixty-Five Review
It's safe to say we've been in the midst of a retro-diver renaissance for a couple of years now, and the trend has produced some of the most stunning and attractive designs in recent memory. From the Tudor Black Bay and Longines Legend Diver all the way down to several of Helson and other microbrands' offerings, we've seen a great variety of capable well-made divers with a vintage flair. What we haven't seen much of, however, is a manufacturer pulling a design from their archives and reissuing it almost verbatim. That's where the Oris Divers Sixty-Five comes in, and absolutely nails it. With a few subtle changes, Oris has achieved what perhaps none of the other current crop of vintage-styled divers can claim- they've made something genuinely more desirable than the original. With an in-house modified Selitta SW200, a double AR-coated domed sapphire crystal, and a $1650 $1,850 price tag, it's more than an attractive design, it's an attractive proposition. Let's take a closer look.Oris Di
Introducing: The New Bentley Bentayga SUV Will Feature A Real Self-Winding Tourbillon Clock From Bre
The newest Bentley is a beast (no surprises there). The Bentayga is an SUV, but it’s an SUV in the same way the battleship USS Missouri is a boat. It’s what you get when Bentley does the SUV, in other words; which is to say it is lavish with a capital L in every aspect from its sheer size and weight, to its almost absurd power (the darned thing has a twin turbo W12 engine and will do 187 mph, according to Bentley, so if you’ve been lying awake at night wishing your heart out for a chance to go faster than an F-18 at takeoff in an SUV, you can stop wishing). Naturally, you don’t build a machine that can probably follow a main battle tank through Nature’s roughest terrain, and do 187 mph, and that has a champagne fridge in the boot (for real) without taking considerable pains with every other aspect of the vehicle, and in order that you may better tell the time whilst flattening careless wildlife with scarcely a detectable rattle in the opulently turne
And I thought a Daytona was challenging to buy...
Did anyone else see on the one of the stock channels on television this morning, that PP brought and displayed this uber special model with over 600 parts in it, various chimes which the PP President tunes himself, and it took over 5 years to build with over 100 man hours alone on the enamel dial, which has a cost of $1.2M Swiss Francs, on a leather strap, and on and on - and they said that you have to - are you all ready..plete A Customer Application including information on your current watch collection in order to even Be Considered a high brow enough watch enthusiast in order for PP to even Consider Selling you this watch.....good thing I was friends with my AD as obtaining my black faced Daytona a few years ago was a little easier.
Paul Newman Daytona sells for $ 15,500,000.00
And thats only the hammer price which doesn't include buyers premium or tax!
